  7. Yep I can sing along with all those songs. "I've got a name" is another song. An addition scrolling piece can be his guitar. Maybe a backing?
  8. I use meile in my house. It has great suction and does great on hardwood floors. The bags are expensive. The noise is much lower than other vacuums we had. If you use this, I would do a dust cyclone canister between saw and vacuum. Save alot of cost on bags. My wife would not let me use this in garage. So I have shop vacs. Me. Mark E.

  12. Is the difference between artist and craftsman the ability to draw freehand? I have been paid to do drafting with templates and writing tools that scale lettering. Iso drawing also require a 3d thinking. Some of my sketches was just as good as iso drawings. The artists were using air brushes and creating marketing pictures. Is artistry learning and trying new things? New ideas to the industry or just new to the individual might generate the term artist or innovator. Is artists just doing non-traditional crafts? These might be good discussion questions. Les, to me your flowers have many aspects of artistry. Abstract outlines of flowers, layers of wood and layers of paint. A interesting method of creating a border. The craftsmenship of scrolling allowed you to envision and try this experiment. I applaud you for being innovative, artsy and crafty. Me. Mark
  13. really nice details. It seems like a bird flew away the first picture to the 3rd picture shows 1 less bird. oh 3cm is pretty thick no wonder it took a while.
  14. Great Idea. I see this village is also about exchanging ideas. Not just "scrolling". But there are some pros (pun intented) that do both exhange ideas and perform great crafting.
  15. Nice upgrade. Think patriotism out weighs the think sky concept.
  16. He might need some advice on auto tool insertion and clamping torque. How about backup techniques for blade turning.
  17. How do you professionals do this? It would take me 60 hours to do that. That presentation is great. It can be givin out as a trophy.
  18. Wow. 2 widths of ribbon (and 2 layers purple heart?), beeaautiful (walnut?) . what did you use to cut the ribbon? blade number type? Here I go again , lots of questions. Very good. Inspiring.
  19. Ok here is my other idea that is a little bit easier. But might not look good. Since the wood chips kinda look crystals, have different colors of stains to enhance the particle / chips shapes. Only do the large ones. Then use the honey stain over everything. Maybe high gloss vs satin on big chunks might add a frost crystal effect. Oh when I did a leather project that industry had stamps for symbols including indian southwest symbols. Before I made the model train, I made a belt with that train loco embossed stamped on leather.
  20. How about self framing designs concepts? Sheila Landry's website shows a few.
  21. how about scrolling indian symbols in frame?
  22. I just traced a leaf that blew in my front yard. It is the same basic shape as yours. Gotta capture nature when it is available. Scanned my sketch for pre fall season.
  23. nice idea using burning techniques for viens and stems.
  24. I forgot to order the tubes. So I had to solve this using stuff around the house. Drinking straws. Scotch tape. Labels from Flying Dutchman. Office stapler. Small neodynium magnets.
  25. Ooooh. Space based theme.
