  1. It all looks good to me.
  2. I will soon be trying my luck at cutting this type of work. I have found in past positings to SSV many suggestions. I have some questions for you. Did you use 1/8 inch Baltic Birch plywood? Did you stack cut? I've read that helps cutting. Just today I purchased some 1/4 inch luan for stacking. What blade did you use? I have been doing some practice cuts which lead be to believe I may be tackling more than I can chew. I know it is just cutting 1 line at a time, but it still scares me. I mostly use hardwoods. I'm anxious to get started but still scared of the results. Thanks for posting Kris, just in time for me. Jerry
  3. Those are really neat Bruce. What a neat way to get back into scrolling and quick satisfaction. Onward and upward. Jerry
  4. Nice to have a friend like that.
  5. WOW Bruce, that is beautiful. I am certain your granddaughter will love it. Jerry
  6. You're going to be busy all year Judy. Jerry
  7. Congratulations Paul, you did well on both accounts. Jerry
  8. Ralph, your granddaughters will have lots of fun playing with them, then later on in life these toys will be cherished. When others ask where they got them, they will say with pride "MY GRANDPA MADE THEM.". Really, really nice. Jerry
  9. Very nice Paul. Always enjoyable to spend the holidays with family. Jerry
  10. A very hearty welcome from Colorado. You are starting the new year right joining SSV. You will find the folks here very willing to help. Enjoy!!! Jerry

  12. Richard, Robert...Simply Beautiful Jerry
  13. To Charlie and Ron, be thankful for each and every anniversary- they are precious. Beautiful cutting Charlie. Jerry
  14. Ron, beautiful job. My boys used to play aggravation with their granpa, my father-in-law. They would play for hours and had a lot of fun. Brings back some very fond memorias. Jerry
  15. Nice work Jimmy. Sciatia is a pain in the butt, err back. I too have issues with sciatia and can usually sit at the scroll saw for 2 hours at a time. Good thing I'm not doing this for a living. Jerry
  16. Ron, I have been watching your posts for a while now. Continually amazed with your work. Now a question. how to you finish them or do you have a detailer that you take them to? Everything looks like it just came off the showroom floor. Can almost see my own reflection looking at them on the screen. Jerry
  17. Liz, I'm Jerry from Colorado. No kidding, you have come to the right place. Lot of help here and you will keep learing. With your background you will have no trouble with the scroll saw. From what I hear seamtreesses make great scrollers. I used to watch my wife sew and picked up a few tricks I could do with the scroll saw. One other thing, scrolling is verrrrry addictive as others have said. You will find that with other chores you have to do, you can hardly wait so you can get to scrolling. There is always something to learn, something new. Welcome to the Village, you will be happy here and you will not get bored. Jerry
  18. This is the first time I have made Christmas ornaments. I purchased this years business kit. Had fun doing them. Made 25 all together, pictures are one of each. Thanks Travis.
  19. I agree with both accounts of Charlie. Jerry
  20. Both @BadBob and @scrollerpete All nice ornaments. Jerry
  21. I'm certain the gifts will be enjoyed by all. Nice cutting on all, I really like the cats. There is so much to learn with inkscape. I'm trying too, but don't use it enough. Every time I use it there is re-learning to do. Jerry
  22. Very cool tribute to your father-in-law. I'm sure eacy receipent will cherish. Jerry
  23. Thanks for your answers. My experience with red cedar will be short lived. I knew there was some toxicity to red cedar and did wear a mask, but I don't have the where with to invest in filtration equipment. I knew I would get an answer here. Again, my thanks to all of you. Happy Holidays to all, Jerry
  24. Ray, I made a couple of changes to my question. Maybe now it will be clearer to the reader. In my mind I understand what the question is. You know us humans, our fingers don't always hit the right keys. Jerry
