  6. I too enjoy your fretwork. Very nice mobile rocker. You are one of the few to use hand saw.!!!!!!!!!!! I am interested in information about your fret saw. I have one also but have a problem using it. I have trouble compressing the ends and clamping the blade. I find I need 'FOUR' hands to thread the blade and clamp the blade end. How do you accomplish attaching the blade end to the saw after you thread it? Thank you.
  7. JIm, that is super, the green really sets it off!

    Trout

Steve, I've been scrolling for 10+ years and am still experimenting with blades. For cutting these trout using two 1/2" maple boards (stacked = 1") I used: 1) #2 Olson FR440R .026 x .011 .... These for fins, inside tail, small cuts. 2) #2 Olson FR443 .029 x .012 .... for speckles, eyes and gills. 3) #3 Flying Dutchman Penquin Silver .031 x .013 Disclaimer: I would not necessarly use these blades for different patterns / different wood. I know blades by width and thickness Smallest I use is .022 x .009, largest .044 x .0?? I generally know the size blade (ie: .026 x .011) I want to start with. Depending on how it cuts, determines if I change.
  9. I can just see them, hitching a ride, little bag on a stick. Makes me smile Roly,,, a good one.
