If you and your Father-in-Law are a bit handy and have a couple tools,
Delta's are easy to dis-assemble. A couple star bits and a ratchet set is all you need.
In my opinion, your saw has a loose part causing the problem.
Thats My two cents
I do not know much about this. Will the wood re-bow after you de-bow?
Moisture and lack of....basically, When humidity increases, the wood absorbs moisture from the air causing the woodto expand. When the humidity decreases, the wood releases water into the air and thewood shrinks.
I cut a beautiful plaque for my brother-in-law. He hung it up in a very dry room. The piece warped and blew apart.
This is why plywood is great for scrolling, each layer is opposite.
Experiment...
There was a discussion a few years back about bowing wood. You might want to look for it.
Anyway, in part of the discussion was how to use a heat gun to remove the 'bow'.
The heat gun method does work by gently heating the center of the wood.
I suppose this removes moisture causing the wood to 'straighten'.
Flattening boards with Heat? - by Mauricio @ LumberJocks ... I have not read this but maybe it will
provide some info...if not ...do a search
Brings back memories for me. Not just my good puppy friends but my sweet kitties also...
WE would have a wall of scroll memories and in a way we still do but only in our minds.
Della was a sweetheart, her face shows loving care.
Such a surprise fact about the drought for 5 years. I am learning a little about Australia .
Anyway, I will pray for moderate weather and prayerfully that will be what is needed.
Well, I don't know what to say....
God bless

At least Coke didn't use common core.
Ya beat me to the dimmer switch.
Who reads brail?,,,, what did he say?
Beer can do miracles; is that a guy hiding in the woods? I see aface...maybe
True about giraffs
In California, don't use a plastic straw.
I have a pattern I am scrolling that has a title (name) in the pattern.
My pattern is too small for me to scroll the name (title).
My option is to print a mirror image and do an "Image Transfer" onto the wood I am cutting the pattern on.
Is that clear? Thanks all
Paul, I would guess you recovered from everything except scrolling.
I took a break from scrolling for about... don't know for how long but anyway,
I'm back at it and don't know what to do with what I've scrolled over the years or what I am scrolling now.
Right now I like scrolling patterns of old cars and motorcycles. Got any?
