    Take off the top where the adjustment knob is and you will see a little ratchet thing that you can adjust. I have mine set so it doesnt even get to #2. used to crank it all the way and it would not apply enough tension. 10 minute job.

    I personally would not make one of these. What will happen if a kid still chokes on a piece even though it fit into the device? Seems to me that you are doing the governments job and telling them it is not a choking hazard, seems it would open you up for liability that would not have been there if you just said nothing and let common sense rule. not that its a bad idea, just being devils advocate.

    I dont make things for others or take requests. i make what I want to make for my personal enjoyment. This is why. 99% of the people have no idea of the complexity of the process.

    I dont even have a scanner anymore. I just take a picture with my phone and email it to myself.

    Do you put one on the back as well? also it looks like you cut the little square holes correct?

    Sometimes patterns are just like that, perplexing and you just dont know why until you start cutting. The worst is when you are halfway through a tough project and sort of forget what you are doing and start doubting what you know is truth. Then its easy to start losing it. Doesnt happen that often but does happen with everyone I think. its that pattern that looks like its simple and you can knock it out in an afternoon that will end up being like a 2 week long project that will drive you crazy. This is one that was just that i way underestimated and just mystified me the whole way.

    I scrollsaw in my dining room. No carpet, just tile. this is in a 1 bedroom apt as well so not much space. I dont really worry about the dust too much, Just sweep up when done and thats about it. Have to keep the saw and table clean of course but thats just part of the sweeping. I have a little shop vac near the saw so just use that when done. if i am cutting like 1: then you need to clean up alot more then if its just a silhouette with some 1/4" bb of course. I would not recommend using a router in the house as it really make a mess.

    Did nothing for the teeth, just did not put any tile in and its just grout.

    Get some pre stain. What I do is go over they whole sheets when i by them with the stuff and sand them off a bit. After this the blotchy stuff will be a thing of the past. Its just this white watery looking stuff you brush on, let dry for a few minutes, wipe off and sand. takes 15 minutes max and works great. i think its called minwax pre stain of something like that, a quart will last you for the rest of your life basically. got this tip from a guy who used to build high end furniture so it works.
