spirithorse Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 If you don't want to read a message about religion, please stop reading now and back out of this page. I do not want to offend anybody and this message is a testimonial. My grand-son, only a little over two years old, was found to have a heart defect which the doctors should have found with-in three days of his birth. Two valves in his heart which are not used while in the womb because the lungs are not working should have closed within the first three days after birth. These valves did not close and heart surgery was necessary to plug the valves. Fortunately, with modern technology, this was accomplished through the femoral artery and open heart surgery was NOT necessary. What the doctor said was about a 4 hour procedure only took about 1 1/2 hours because everything went very smoothly with no complications. After heart surgery, my grand-son was doing so well they discharged him to come home that same night! I truly consider this a miracle and another sign that there is a God and He is performing miracles still today! This is not the first tremendous miracle I have received. When my daughter was born, she had practically the reverse problem that her son had. She began breathing IN the womb. Therefore, she drowned of muconium asperation, her heart stopped, and one lung burst. She was born through emergency C-section. She was only the 100th patient in the world to undergo a procedure called ECMO. Most of those patients had brain damage due to the prolonged use of oxygen. My daughter did NOT have any complications like that and made the basketball team, a cheer-leading squad, and a volley-ball team. She is now a Paramedic and Police Dispatcher. Thank you for letting me voice my little testimonial about the Love, Mercy, and Miracles of God. God Bless! Spirithorse Doug, GrampaJim, courdorygirl and 4 others 7 Quote

sullyscroller Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 Spirit thanks for starting my day off on the right foot. To often we forget how the Lord shapes our lives by working miracles big and small. As Christians He commanded us to go out and spread the gospel to all the world. Sometimes we lose sight of his blessings because the world overwhelms us or we just don't take notice. We need to tell people more often that Jesus is the way,Jesus is the truth, and Jesus is the life, not just to Heaven but in our everyday struggles. Thank you brother and may God continue to Bless you and your family. sully bobscroll, Rob Roy and LarryEA 3 Quote

Larry A. Blakely Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 What are the probabilities that I would find a bunch of Christians on a scrollsaw forum? It appears that He has led us together. Thanks for the wonderful comments. We too have seen a number of miracles in our lives, including a preemie who came 10 weeks early and an acrobat who had a knot in his umbilical cord when he was born. spirithorse Posted April 8, 2015 Author Report Posted April 8, 2015 Thank you all for the kind acceptance of my testimonial. Please send prayers for my grand-son, my daughter, my wife and myself. You already know the story with my grand-son and the stress on my daughter. My wife and I are both struggling with declining health and really need God's Healing. God Bless! Spirithorse By the way, my user name is actually a short version of my Native American name which is Horse With Spirit Heart. I was sort of hoping for a cool name dealing with a Wolf or an Eagle or something but, I guess they saw something in me that seemed right to them at the time. Now I guess they did pretty good! Tdub4ever Posted April 13, 2015 Report Posted April 13, 2015 I love hearing testimonies like this Spirithorse. I have had a few times in my life that God has stepped in and showed His mercy to my kids and I. The time I believe to be the greatest of God's intervention was back in the 80"s. My second oldest daughter was around 4. I had just finished cutting the grass in the back yard, filled the gas tank and moved to the front. I walked up and down the yard maybe 3 times and the mower just shut off, it just died. I pulled once or twice trying to start it, but it didn't start. Then I heard a an urgent voice asking, "where's Niki?" I looked around and didn't see her. My wife (at the time) was on the driveway and I asked her where Niki was. She said she didn't know. I have never before this time, or after this time felt such an urgent need to find my kids. I ran to the back yard and there was my daughter standing by the swingset with the gas can in her hand and the nozzle in her mouth. I yelled at her to stop and she took it out of her mouth, but she had already inhaled enough fumes to make her high. Her eyes were dull and grey and she didn't respond to anything we said or did to her. We rushed her to the ER and told them what had happened and they took her back and and put her in some machine, I forget what they called it. They kept her for a few hours and then said we could tale her home. She suffered no problems from that ordeal. No brain damage or lung problems, nothing. I believe in my heart that God killed the mower that day, and He asked me where my daughter was. He is awesome! Even when we're not! Quote
