It's getting rather chilly up here in the North of England and although in the past it's just been part and parcel of life, this year I seem to feel the chill a little more and it's not even 'winter' yet.

So, I decided to treat myself this year as my old bones need some TLC and I've just bought myself a Heated Body Warmer, my early Christmas present to myself.

I don't 'treat' myself often and just wanted to tell someone about it, so I'm telling my SSV family 💕

Wow Brenda, I just checked and you are exactly six months older than me, and I’ve been old for a long time now! However, living in Southern California, it definitely does not get as cold here as it does there.

Cool jacket. Is that battery powered?

The photo that @amazingkevin put up is just a 'normal' body warmer, I have at least a dozen of various types in my wardrobe, but this year I felt I needed a little more 'luxury' so the one I have now is battery powered.  It's not as bulky as it looks in the photo and fits nicely under my coat. Just that little more comfort for when I'm out and about with the dogs.

Good choice forget the wine an dine one!!!xx

I have 2 'wine + dine' ones and I love them and wear them whenever I go to shows where I'm seen. However for walking dogs across wet muddy fields in a force 9 gale, the heated one gets my vote.

Brenda. Just pet your pooches a bit more and get creative. Kit out the whole family for Christmas.

If you’re torn between wearing fur and loving animals, the dispute has already been settled. The pictures by French photographer Erwan Fichou prove that you only have to love your pet long enough… to be able to wear it later! The dog owners in the photos below would pet their buddies so much that they could collect enough of their fur to spun it into yarn and knit a sweater from it.

We assure you that none of the wool-producers have been harmed in the making of the sweaters, and all of them pose happily with their owners. For those interested in this, there are even step-by-step manuals on knitting sweaters from your dog’s fur on Amazon.
