Congratulations! The first 45 years are the hardest. All downhill now.

Reminds me of a story my husband told about talking to a lady who said it was her and her husband’s 50th wedding anniversary. He congratulated her. She said some thing like “don’t congratulate me, it’s just an endurance contest to see who outlasts the other. Nobody can be married this long and be happy or like each other.” 🙃☺️🥲  Apparently John does alright because he does what the war office tells him. 😉

Coming up on 53 in December and we still speak to each other.

Good to hear. We just had 37 couple of months ago and was starting to worry a little. 😉 Actually, his parents celebrated over 60+ and my maternal grandparents did too. Unfortunately my paternal grandfather and father both died relatively young so not as long but my parents were married about 33 I think before he died. My paternal grandparents were probably married almost that long before he died. He was only 49 when he died and my dad was only 52. 🙃🥲
