Totally bummed tonight...

One week away from the saw and I come back and I can't cut crap, it feels like I'm just starting again. 

Gave up after a hour and came back upstairs ..... Tomorrow's another day....

I have had days like that, More often with my painting. Couldn't paint a straight line if my life depended upon it. Chuck it in for the day and watch a western

You can't just "power through it" when you have one of those days. 

Go play solitaire or go for a walk. 

Maybe, empty the burn bucket into the fire pit and watch your issues go up in smoke. Designer firewood is pretty--pretty hard to watch, but does my soul some good.

Do any of you folks have days where you just can't get motivated to do anything in the shop? I've had the days where nothing seemed to go right but Sunday I went to my shop. It was a beautiful warm day. I stood there looking at the projects I've been working on but after a few minutes I just turned around and walked out. I figured that if I did anything it would have been wrong. Now today, my wife wants me to help clean our venetian blinds and I really would rather go out to my shop. Strange?

When I get a chance to hit my shop/cave in the basement and I start cutting, if I can't get in the groove after a minute or 2 I stop and do some cleaning and head back up stairs. Some days I have "it" some days I don't. On the days I do, I can sit at the saw for hours and all goes great, on days that I don't, well that's a cleaning day.

Hang in there, it happens to all of us at 1 time or another.

It was like I'd forgotten everything I'd learned over the past couple of months, I was rigid not relaxed at all and my cutting was truly all over the place.

I grabbed some scrap earlier and just cut some firewood, I stayed down there for a hour and a half and it gradually started to come back... Guess I'll be practicing on scrap again untill I get confident again.....

Well after a few hours of cutting pretty firewood I'm back in my groove, thank God !  I also got my first paid order for another veteran plaque but a Navy one this time. Apparently they saw the one I made for my FIL and asked him where he got it from .....apparently there will be more orders too ....
