Hi all

I finally decided to upgrade my scroll saw. I been using cheap scroll saws since I started doing cutting  ( 99 - 130 dollars saws ) my last saw was a wen for 99 bucks and I just got tried of the cheap ones. I wanted to get a Dewalt 22in but it was to cost to much  so I  decided on a Bauer 22in. The saw is is like the difference between night and day, I love how it cuts and changing the blades are so much better than the cheap saws. I'm wondering why I didn't upgrade years ago.

That Bauer saw just came out in Aug of 2024 and is too new to know exactly it will stand up to hard use. If occassional work load then should be fine. Good luck and have un.

I'm truly hoping that the Bauer saw will be a winner. It is priced perfectly for folks who just want a better saw. It can be upgraded with the Pegas blade clamps but that will add another $100 to it. If you are happy with it the way it is, leave it alone. Once you get going with it, how about posting some pics of what you are making. We all love pics. Congrats on the new toy. Enjoy.

In general I'm happy with my Bauer 22". Only issue I've had is the blower hose broke off at the base and HF doesn't sell a replacement. I was able to cobble together a new base plate and a piece of clear tubing, but the original is definitely a point of failure on this machine. Had I bought the extended warranty they would have just replaced the entire machine!

So far I happy with the Bauer 22 the only thing I can say negative about it is the thumb screw for the blades bends the tip of the blades. I ordered the Pegasus thumb screws from bearwood and now just waiting for them to come in the mail. I got the extended warranty and they said I could get a new saw or my money back for the next 2 years, no questions ask even if I didn't like the saw anymore.

I wonder if someone with a 3d printer could print this for you?

BTW, the thumb screws are probably not set right which would cause the bending the tips of the blades.
