  1. Dave, that wood sounds interesting, what size of sheets does it come in? The sample cuts you posted look great, how well does it take a finish? Len
  2. Rob, that was a quick fix, thankfully, you weren't down for a long time. Len
  3. Nicely done Peter, there's no mistaking who it is. Len
  4. Pete, I guess you've been busy, how many do you plan on making for the sales? Len
  5. Nice looking work Bobby, I really like the MR DUCKS one. I saw that saying years ago when I was down south, I had to have what it said translated. I've always thought of making a pattern of the saying, just never got to it. Len
  6. Dan, how come you stopped using your saw? Len
  7. No Kevin, you are not safe, the stunt that you just pulled could burn down everything in the area. Or worse, it could electrocute you. Things may be tight, but surely you can afford a fuse. Stop using the saw until you have a proper fuse, otherwise you could burn out the motor to say the least. Stunts like this pi$$ me off to no end. For me, this is something that should not get you any praise for you ingenuity, there's nothing smart about what you did. Electricity is nothing to fool around with, I thought you were a pretty smart cat, but, stunts like this makes me wonder. OK, I'll get off my high horse now, and I apologize for being so stern with my reply , it's just that I thought you would know better. Len
  8. I don't know Roly, she may have a point. I really like that little hedge hog cutting, I think it's cute. Len
  9. Uh-oh Dan, now the other departments will want a sign, and don't you know, they'll expect it for free. Len

    Dart Holder

Nicely done Dan, that'll save a lot of time looking for where they are. Len
  11. Well Clayton, there's no sense in anyone else entering into the contest, this has got to be the winner. It is one of the most outstanding pieces that I've ever seen, you should be proud of this one. Will you be selling it, or, is it a keeper? If you were to sell it, how much would you expect to get for it? With all of the hours that you've got into it, it would be hard to put a price on it. Len
  12. Opinions? Well, I think you did a great job, but, it would be a lot easier to see though, if it had a backer. The way it is pictured makes it hard to read, if you could post better pictures, it would be easier to critigue your work. Len
  13. Nicely done Edward, now that your retired, we expect to see more of your work. Len
  14. Nice looking bowl DW, you did an amazingly good job with the inlay. Len
  15. Good for you, I charge family members also, especially if it's going to be given to someone else as a gift. If they were to go to a store to buy the gift, they would have to pay for it. So, why shouldn't they pay me for something I have for sale. Just because they're family, doesn't mean I can work for free. I still have to pay for everything I use to make something, plus I already give them lots for free. But, if it is for somebody outside of the family, I can't afford that. Len

    Car

Cute car Paul, it looks like it would be fun to play with. Len
  17. Tony, I don't think your getting carried away at all, to me, it looks as if your having a great time. Your work is admirable, and, yes crosses and angels are always popular. Len
  18. Marg, that's one of the problems with taking a holiday, getting caught up on postings takes so long. Len
  19. Wowsa Andrew, that's gotta be good for a few extra brownie points for sure. Len
  20. Clyde, you do some nice work, these pieces look fantastic. Are these your patterns, how long have you been doing patterns? Len
  21. Tony, what an awesome job of getting things matched up, there's no gaps anywhere. This is one to be proud of, will you be selling it? Len
  22. Dick, you just keep raising the bar, this is another outstanding piece. I don't think that you've over done it on the painting, I think that I might have even added a small backer painted red for the heart. Len
  23. Dick, this is a nice and tidy looking cutting, the flower really sets it off. Len
  24. Katie, you have been keeping busy, all eight projects look fantastic. Len
  25. Watch yourself, you don't want to get into a bidding war. Set your price before you leave home, and then don't go above it. Personally, I wouldn't put a lot of value into the spare blades without seeing them up close. Depending upon how old they are, they may have started rusting which will make them easier to break. Len
