  1. Nice looking cuttings Kevin, I've always meant to try something like this. Len
  2. Nicely done Kevin, did you stack cut it? For cuttings like this that should be good sellers, I always stack cut them. Len
  3. Trackman, I like the idea, but, I think you need to use smaller horseshoes. But,a cutting that looks as good as this one does, doesn't really need any enhansment. Len
  4. Kevin, it's a spectacular cutting, every thing is just so. Len
  5. Dave, what is there to criticize about this cutting? I know that if I had produced the pattern, then the cutting I'd be darn proud of it. The pattern looks as if it was done by someone, who has been making patterns for some time. Sometimes, we're harder on ourselves, then we should be. Len
  6. Steve, it sure is an outstanding cutting. Len
  7. Nice looking signs Todd, what will you be using for a finish? Len
  8. Nicely done Ralph, used to make similar items and they were great sellers. Len
  9. Nicely done Rick, I like the idea for the glue bottle stand. I might have to make one of them, it sure would save me some time. Len
  10. Where's it being held at, the open house not the gathering? Len
  11. Dan, they're good and sturdy looking, they should stand up to lots of use. It's very nice of you to donate them to the group, who are you going to donate the flower planters in the background too? Len
  12. Yes Rick, I'm sorry to say, but your right, the lid should have been in the closed position. I install mine with the lid closed, and I use spacers the same as Jim does. To help us to give a good and proper answer, you should try to post pictures of what you're talking about. Len
  13. Ralph, it's a great looking ornament, to finish ornaments like this, I dip them in a 50/50 mixture of poly/paint thinner. The mixture is very runny, and it soaks into the wood really well to protect it. Any excess is easliy wiped away, and you end up with a semi-gloss finish when dry. Len
  14. A coule of nice looking projects Roly, it's good to see that your keeping busy. Len
  15. To cute Roly, just to cute! Len
  16. Nicely done Jim, these are usually good sellers. Most people like the bible verses, you just have to cut the right ones it's like everything else. Len
  17. That's a beauty, I've always thought I'd like to make one of these, just never got around to doing so. Now that I know how long it took you, I don't know if I ever will. Len
  18. There's something I should add, I don't use a lot of scrollsaw dust to make these fire starters. Mostly, I use the chips from my Dewalt planer, I find those chips to be a better size for what I'm making. And I have a lot more of them, then I do of scrollsaw chips. Of course these starter blocks aren't worth a dam, if you don't have something to light them with. Len
  19. Jim, I sell some of the ones I make, I charge ten cents per starter. No matter what time of year it is, they sell. Len
  20. Looks good Dan, these are good sellers around here. Len
  21. That's a great piece of work, I like how you added a touch of color to it. Len
  22. Yes Roly, the egg crate is made of a paper mash that takes the form it's sprayed on. It's the same material that is used to make the disposable coffee cup holders, they desinigrate if they get wet from water, but they hold up to the hot wax. You only need something to pour the wax/shavings mixture into, it can be anything I just use egg crates because I always have a few on hand. What a buddy of mine uses, is a cupcake pan. He packs the shavings into the cups, then he pours the wax over the top of it to fill the cup. Len
  23. Sorry Larry, I can't help you out on this one. What I did, was buy an oval design maker. But, if you've ever seen what some people call a do nothing machine, then you've seen an oval design maker. If you have time and a little bit of patience, you could always build one. There a very handy rig to have, and they're adjustable to just about any size. Len
  24. Are you sure that there isn't any in the free patterns section? Len
  25. That's good Kevin, did you enjoy yourself? Len
