  1. Nicely done Frank, do you keep the gun shapes you cut out? Len
  2. Nicely done Spiridos, the blue lights are perfect for it. Len
  3. Frank, that's a very nice looking clock. How do you handle the thickness offset of the clock? Len
  4. Kris, the cutting is very nice, is that one of your patterns? Len
  5. Thanks Paul, neat video. Len
  6. Nicely done Monti, they all look nice. Len
  7. Yes Duke, I use white ash quite often, it does show burn marks though. I find it to be very hard, especially when it's well dried. Len
  8. Randy, I can see your coins selling in any venue, they are amazing! Len
  9. Yes, but could you add that info below your name like mine is, so we all will know? But, if you on't want to add it to your avatar area that's fine, I just thought I would ask. Len
  10. Ray, what is holding your saw in place, is your saw on a factory stand? If you could find a way to fasten it down extra well, that might make a difference. Was your saw acting up, or giving you issues? If it wasn't I would never have taken it apart like you did, just to service the bearings. These saws are like most things, the more you take them apart the less they fight back together as tightly as they originally were. I used to service my little Delta saw like this, then the Delta maintenance center told me about taking the saw apart to often. Len
  11. Jim, I can't view them, when I click on the prompt, I get directed to a site that wants me to sign in or join Steve Good's site. Can you fix the link, I'm interested in seeing the chairs? Thanks.] Len
  12. Dave, when I used to make them, I made them from 1/16" up to a little over a 1/4" out of plywood. I would also make them 3-D, those ones were anywhere from 3/4" up to 1 and 1/2". These 3-D ones were a bit difficult to cut, due to the small size of them. They were descent sellers for me, lots of women kept returning for them. Sometimes, they would even ask me to make the ear-rings a specific color or shape, my little dolphin ones were my best sellers. Len
  13. Kragax, it would probably be the same shipping cost, if you ordered more blades then one dozen. Sometimes it's cheaper to order more, then it is to order less. It's crazy, but sadly that's the way it works. Len
  14. Randy, aren't you entering the sale, do you ever sell your coins that way? How many cut coins do you think you would have to have, for a sale like that? Do you do any scrolling other then coins, I don't remember if you do or not? If you do attend the sale, could you please try to get a few pictures of any woodwork that's there? I would greatly appreciate it if you could get a few shots for us, I imagine the other members would also. I hope it's not to much of a pain me asking you to do this, if it is, don't bother doing it. Len
  15. Sam, the glue pulls off of the project so easily, that I glue all around the edges in the same way as your pictures show. There is never any glue residue left on the project, it pulls off so easily. I use this method for gluing my ornaments together also, then I use the little square remnants with the glue on them as fire starters. They are perfect for this, the glue burns quite well. I usually keep a box of the ornament remnants by the woodstove, they are great for starting fires in the workshop or anywhere else you might need them. Len
  16. It's gorgeous Paul, I love it! Len
  17. Spiridos, your clock looks fantastic, you did a great job. I have a little favor to ask of you, could you please enter where you live in with your name? It's nice to know where a person is from, then you have an idea of what it's like when they talk about something in their area. Len
  18. Paul, I use the glue method that Sam777 uses, I've never had an issue on any of my oversized pieces. The weight or pressure of my hands on top, seem to hold everything together the same as if it was nailed down. There has never been any offset or displacement, on any of the pieces I've used this method on. Everything I've ever cut using this method, has turned out perfectly fine. Try it some time, you may like how it works. I use spring clamps, to hold everything in place for gluing purposes. Len
  19. I use the same method as Sam777 does, I've been using that method for years. It's the only way I've ever done stack cutting, I tried masking tape once but didn't like that method. Len
  20. Kragax, your right, I add usually add depth by using veining. But then again, if the veining doesn't give me the effect I'm looking for, I will sometimes round over the edges of the veining lines. It takes quite a while to do this with the veining lines being so fine, but it gives it the look I'm going for. Len.
  21. Kragax, it would help if you told us the name of the books, if we had the names we might be able to help you out more. Len
  22. Ray, I don't know anything about these saws, other than that they've been around for years. Len
  23. I love it Earl, it's an amazing bit of craftsmanship. Bravo! Len
  24. Yes Pete, You ans Sue Mey make for a great partnership. To me, both pieces look the same, could you please point out the differences to an obviously blind person. Both pieces are very nice looking, and the inlay with purple heart was a great idea and a perfect pick. Len
  25. Paul, it's an amazing cutting, I see lots of hold your breath moments in this one. Len
