  1. Mimi, this is the first time I've ever heard of someone doing this. Generally, if it is printed that you can make copies, most copy stores will make them for you. I know I can take a pattern to a copy store around here, and they'll print-off the pattern in whatever size I want. Almost all of them will only make ten copies for you though, but that's fine you really only need one copy to copy off of. Have you tried other copy stores in the area, maybe they will do what you want. Len
  2. Good for you Kevin, just take the good stuff leave what you don't need there. Len
  3. Your getting there Dan, you'll have it beat in no time. It is an interesting build, thanks for sharing it with us. Len
  4. Nicely done Todd, will you be making any english ones? Len
  5. Dave, great minds must think alike, I do glue-ups the same way. Len
  6. Matt, it's a good cheap fix, but, you still should keep a look-out for an aquarium pump. It wouldn't hurt to have a spare, plus, with this one running so hot, you never know how long it will last. Len
  7. My saws not down, I am, I haven't been able to scroll since I had cataract surgery last Oct. And I don't know when I'll be able to saw again, I'm waiting on an appointment to see the Dr. to see what he can do for me. So, I feel your pain, and hope it doesn't go on as long as mine has been going. There's all kinds of things I want to cut, the stack just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Hopefully, the Doc can do something for me. Len
  8. Very nice! Len
  9. Kevin, I agree with Roly, just ignore the neighbor. If he insists in keeping up with his actions, then take it to the manager of the site. Len
  10. Gorgeous hearts Monti. Len
  11. Cute sign Frank! Len
  12. It's a good looking bowl Rusty, I imagine cutting it out was more enjoyable then cutting the grass would have been. Len
  13. Sorry, this was a duplicate posting, that I could not delete. Len
  14. Casey, it would be a whole lot easier for you to use the fonts as you find them. If you want to make changes to make cutting out the font easier, then show the change and take credit for the change only. By doing it that way, you don't have to worry about the lawyers and lawsuits. Plus, you get credit for the change, which all scrollers will appreciate. Unless you're looking to sell or make money off of a new font, I would go this way just for it's simplicity. Len
  15. Yes. Len
  16. All I use to dip my projects in, is a large cookie sheet. I bought one just for this purpose, I lay the item in the cookie sheet and pour the finish over it. When finished, I strain the leftover finish back into it's container. Len
  17. Dan, that's one heck of a good looking couple, both pieces are outstanding. I don't think you could make these to sell, do you? I think they would be so labor intensive, that you couldn't recoup enough money to cover your time. Len
  18. Delano, it's a beautiful cross, and you did a fantastic job cutting it out. One issue I have with it though, is that there's no finish in the negative spaces where the wood has been cut out. For pieces like this, I like to dip them in the finish so that the negative spaces are covered with finish. Not only does doing this make the project look better, but, it also helps with dust removal in the future. Len
  19. Dan, it's great that you have your saw up and running again, sometimes it's the simplest thing as this was. Len
  20. I cut pretty much the same way as MrsN does. Len
  21. Drawer bottom or not Rob, you did an amazing job cutting it out. Len
  22. Congrats Rolf. Len
  23. No issues here. Len
  24. Thanks Roly, I'm sure it will be a very popular pattern. Len
  25. Kevin, two things you've been told in the past, slow down, and get it in writing. If you had done either in this case, then you probably wouldn't have wasted your time cutting the wrong name. Your work is outstanding, but, your making to many mistakes like this. Len
