  1. If you can get free shipping on Amazon they have good prices.
  2. Thanks to Peter (aka woodchuck) I decided to make this for my grandkids. Sorry for the reflections. I dug up some old frames and my wife says to keep it in that frame. I was thinking of painting the frame but I guess I won't. Thanks to Grandpa for the pattern.
  3. Ok. I guess i won't share the free beers with you. If anyone else wants free beers come to Jerry's house and join me on his front porch. I only have 12 left.
  4. Welcome aboard Janie! Estes Park is always a stopping point when I get out west. That's where I and my wife spent our honeymoon. Beautiful country.
  5. Hello and welcome to the Village Tony. You are a very advanced beginner to turn out work that good.
  6. Welcome aboard Danny! I recognize your name from the Saw forum. Glad to see you over here to share your experience.
  7. Welcome back Bill.
  8. Welcome to the Village Mark.
  9. Welcome aboard Neil. Great people and great advice here. Travis has put together great tutorials on creating patterns. Have fun!
  10. Thanks Jerry. I've been knocking on you door to claim my beers but no one is answering. Open up pal. I'm glad it worked.
  11. Here's a screen shot.
  12. Jerry, you probably need to open the Fill and Stroke toolbar under Objects at the top of the screen. Select your object (the rectangle) then click on the Fill tab in the Fill and Stroke toolbar. You should see that you have the checkerboard pattern selected. Near the top of that toolbar you should see an X and 4 boxes. The last box is for patterns. Try clicking on the first box. That box should give you a solid color. Then all you need to do is select the color you want. I hope I didn't confuse you. I can post a screen shot if you want.
  13. Nice job Dan. My wife saw it and wants one. Maybe this summer.
  14. It's good to see you're back Keith.
  15. I just used an FD New Spiral this morning in my Delta P-20 and it held just fine. I'm not a fan of spirals but sometimes you gotta use them.
  16. That came out great! It would be perfect for a child's room. Hmm...I have a grandson and granddaughter, I may have to do that one too.
  17. Hi Neil and welcome to the Village. The box came out great. Nice smooth sides and everything fits well. I love the pyrography you added. Excellent!
  18. Great job on the lighthouse. I think you were properly rewarded.

Excellent Helmut!! Very good cutting and I like the deer.
  20. Awesome job Paul, especially on such a small scale. The basswood really frames it well.
  21. Nice project. I too liked them growing up. I tried to watch them a couple of years ago and something has changed. It must have been me. Maybe I need to be stoned or drunk to get it again.
  22. Well, I scanned all the fonts loaded on my computer and didn't find one to match. There are several that are close but not the same. Did you make the original piece? It's possible the font size, proportion, and kerning were changed from the original font.
  23. Great job! I bet the grandkids will love it.
  24. Sweet! I like the style. Thanks for sharing.
  25. Nice job Peter. Beautiful wood and very clean cuts.
