  6. They both look really good, I like the frames!
  7. yep, looks like he fixed it, you can see the pattern now in the gallery. if you have any questions about the pattern let me know, I have it saved in inkscape if you want it in that format.
  8. Looks like it is waiting for admin approval..... so I'll add it to this post in the mean time
  9. I just uploaded it to the pattern library. (that's the first one I've ever uploaded so hopefully I did it right) it said waiting for approval so it might take a little bit before you can see it. mike
  10. Yep sure can, I'm on the phone now but when I get to the computer later I'll post it up!
  11. I don't like to cut anything more than 3/4 of an inch with a scroll saw. it's very slow going and if the blade isn't thick and tight you'll get it to bend and the bottom of the cut (at the table) will not be the same as the top (where the blade comes out) so yeah what those guys said
  12. those are my wife's books...I have no idea what your talking about!
  13. My sister in law in Sweden has this thing made out of metal and suggested I make one out of wood. So I sat down today and made the pattern then cut it out. the first one was trash, I had to make some mods to it to make it work better, plus I used 1/8 plywood and it was too flimsy. the finished product is in 1/4 baltic birch, it's very strudy. so here it is: Hers had windows on the side like a house but i thought it looked better with something scrolled in the side, in this case a humming bird. I'm going to make one with a cross in the side and take it to my friend with the christian book store. a place to hold your books and with one layed on top it holds your page till next time your ready to read. I put a backer on it so it can be hung on a wall or it can stand as is.
  14. Looks great!
  15. Thanks I'll go check it out
  16. Ok, is there another program out there that does the same thing? (enlarges a pattern and automatically prints it on separate pages that can be taped together)
  17. anyone here using rapid resiser? when i try to print from it it's only printing the left 2 inches of the page, it leave the rest of the page blank. I've tried changing all kinds of setting but nothing seems to fix the problem.
  18. nice tip, thanks for sharing! I had a smiliar idea for holding my boxes together while the glue sets. same as you I don't have the cash for all the fancy clamps, but i think I can make some of my own based on thier idea. i made my own painters triangles out of 1/8 inch baltic birch plywood and they work just as good as the store bought plastic ones. (I think steve good has a pattern for the same thing on his site)
  19. looks really good.
  20. Very nice bowl. It's crazy how much really good hardwoods get thrown away!!
  21. Looks great
  22. That would suck, almost nothing worse than water damage.
  23. more upgrades to the shop/garage under the cabinets I built a "work station" an 8 foot long table top with my router table and miter saw built in to it. all are set to the same height. the router table fence is removeable so it can be moved out of the way for the miter saw or for just having a large bench top.
  24. Thanks, I'm pretty happy myself. There might be another of those in the near future
  25. I plug my iphone into teh stereo and let it go, there's all kinds of stuff on there, rock, country, pop (but no RAP!)
