  6. Oh yes the days that the blade has a mind of its own. I remember those days well. I have been scrolling for 15 to 20 years (I kind of lose track or just don’t want to count) and I still think that little blade is smarter than I am at times. Keep working with it and soon you will be flowing around the pattern with ease. It isn’t about following the line perfectly. It is really about enjoying the saw time and making something by hand that you can be proud of. Welcome to the village and come back often.
  7. Welcome to the village!!! We will be looking forward to seeing pictures of your work. Don’t worry about mistakes, We all make them. You will probably be the only one that realizes it isn’t perfect. We are all our own worst critics. Come back often and don’t be afraid to join in the conversation.

  9. Now beat the h-e-double tooth pick out of it and finish it and people will pay big money for it. I love it just the way it is myself. Great job!!!!!!!
  10. Wow !!!!!! That is AMAZING WORK!!!!! Thanks for sharing.
  11. Your work looks GREAT!!!!! I agree with Keith, it is more about the skill of the operator then it is the cost of the saw. I worked for years on an old Dremel that I gave $100 for new. I still have and use that saw to this day even thou I have a Hegner now. Keep practicing and you will do great things. Then you can upgrade the saw in due time.
  12. A hearty Husker welcome to you Ralph!!!! Looking forward to seeing pictures of your work.

  19. WOW!!!!!!! That about sums it up. I would be afraid to use it but it is so beautiful that I would probably display it under glass. GREAT job and thanks for showing us yet another gorgeous piece.
  20. Finally finished the cutting on this project last night. Thank You to Birch Bark for a wonderful pattern. It took me two to three months to cut this only having time to make a few cuts at a time but I really enjoyed cutting it. I stack cut 4 pictures so now I have to figure out what I want to use for a back ground and if I want to stain a couple of them or leave them all natural. What do you guys think?
  21. VERY COOL!!!!!!!!! I really like this idea and it came out GREAT!!!!! Thank you for sharing.
  22. Robb If you are planning on making the panels out of thin plywood such as 1/8†Baltic Birch don’t be afraid to stack cut them. I do three or four at a time using two sided carpet tape to hold them together. A little solvent and they come right apart without screwing up your delicate cuts. This will make the cutting a little easier to control even though you will travel a little slower in the cut. Ike is correct, Let the blade do the work and just guide the wood thru the cut. Try not to apply side pleasure as this will make the blade bow. Apply light pressure straight into the front of the blade and take your time. You will do just fine and will be making art quality work in no time. Welcome to the village and remember to have fun with the saw so it doesn’t turn into work.
  23. click on more fore the drop menu then old gallery to see if they are still there.
