  1. Thanks Rob. I liked the one of you in a dress too but I couldn't tell if you had shaved your legs with those knee high socks you had on. Really it has been great to be able to put a face to all the people that hang out in the village. Thanks Paul for starting this thread.
  2. I purchased a 10" Grizzly table saw many years ago and have been very pleased with it. I have looked at the bandsaws many times but still haven't talked myself into making the leap.
  3. Doug, Take a good look at the Rigid sander at Home depot. I got one about 4 months ago and have LOVED IT. It has all the round drums PLUS the belt sander. That is a HUGE BONUS in my book. I use the belt attachment way more than any of the drums. http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/topic/8283-new-sander/?hl=%2Boscillating+%2Bsander
  4. Smart man!!! Happy Wife happy Life. :D I love the setup. If I made it for my house I would add a bench against the wall with a back on it but I don't want to give your wife any ideas so SHHHHHHHHHHH.
  5. Here is a picture of my fiancé and I on a hike around Smith Falls on the Niobrara river here in Nebraska.
  6. Very COOL!!!!!!! I have a son that is a helicopter mechanic in the national guards and would love helping with something like this.
  7. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA PAUL. Hope you have a great day today and many more!!!!!
  8. Red devil spoons. My son was using a cheeper spoon that was red and white and still getting hits on it. I had never had much luck with spoons before but they were nailing them in this pond.
  9. I laughed so hard there were tears in my eyes. I hope you enjoy this Deer Hunting Camp... The guys were all at a deer camp. No one wanted to room with Bob, because he snored so badly. They decided it wasn't fair to make one of them stay with him the whole time, so they voted to take turns.. The first guy slept with Bob and comes to breakfast the next morning with his hair a mess and his eyes all bloodshot. They said, "Man, what happened to you? He said, "Bob snored so loudly, I just sat up and watched him all night." The next night it was a different guy's turn. In the morning, same thing, hair all standing up, eyes all bloodshot. They said, "Man, what happened to you? You look awful! He said, 'Man, that Bob shakes the roof with his snoring. I watched him all night." The third night was Fred's turn. Fred was a tanned, older cowboy, a man's man. The next morning he came to breakfast bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. "Good morning!" he said. They couldn't believe it. They said, "Man, what happened?" He said, "Well, we got ready for bed. I went and tucked Bob into bed, patted him on the butt, and kissed him good night; Bob sat up and watched ME all night."
  10. I NEED some of that coffee today!!!!! Dragging butt after a very short night last night. We went to one of my son Branden's place yesterday and went fishing. 3.5 hour drive one way. The good news is the Northern Pike were really biting. The bad news is we had to clean them.
  11. My family has sent men in every war since the revolutionary war in this country. By some miracle we have not lost anyone due to the fighting. I pray for my son if he is deployed may he come back to us safe and unharmed. I salute all our men and women in uniform and mourn the loss of all that make the ultimate sacrifice to uphold our constitution. I just wish the damn politicians would stand for it instead of trying to ignore or over write it.
  12. When it comes to beer I have heard of (or drank) a tall boy but never a small boy! That one really takes the cake.
  13. Can I have mine in bed? I will rush back home and crawl back in bed just to have breakfast in bed. Lol
  14. It doesn’t matter what I type in my password is always *************
  15. I believe he was referring to his dog named Big Red. I don’t know how many Husker fans there are in New York State. Lol
  16. I would say you better give your mom a BIG HUG and a PECK on the cheek. Congratulations on the new equipment. I hope you and your son enjoy it for a long time to come. Oh and by the way if your mom is looking to adopt I am available.
  17. #1 Thank You for your service. #2 I would just keep them both. Everyone needs a backup saw anyway. Believe me your wife is going to love what you create with them. Take a good look around the village and see what all these talented people have built. The ideas are endless. #3 Post pictures of your machines and the work that comes off of them. We love to see the projects and the progress you make as you get better and better with your saws. And #4 Thank You for your service.
  18. Now Paul, what did that poor westie do to you????
  19. Now that is a SCORE!!!!!!! :D
  20. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. That one almost took me off my chair.
  21. They are worth what ever the market will bear. Some markets will sell high and some you almost have to give them away. It all depends on the area your selling them in.
  22. That one really turned out GREAT!!!!! Nice work.
  23. That is simply AMAZING! I can’t even begin to imagine the time it would take to make that. Your skill, craftsmanship and patience amazes me.
  24. I Love It!!!! I need to make about 5 boards when I get done with all these weddings and get closed on the house and moved. I should get started on them about the end of July. Great work Larry!!! Keep it up, I love seeing these works of art.
  25. You would be the little guy around my house and get sent into all the tight areas. I am 6'6" and 285 Lbs. My two sons are 6'5" and 6'7" but they are string beans at about 240. That is my type of wood! I love to work with walnut and oak is always nice to play with. Have fun and show us some pictures as you work on the projects.
