  1. Love them!
  2. Thanks, He was really pleased with it.
  3. Made this for my Marine hubby for Veterans day.
  4. Yep, I modify a lot of patterns, I add or delete as needed for my personal use.
  5. Not only do you need to consider moisture but the salt that comes off the Ocean. Salt spray is just as bad as regular moisture if not worse. Breathable tarps/covers are your best choice along with some type of protection to resist the salt.
  6. Go to Steve's site and type Nautical in the search and it will be third row down far right.
  7. Very nicely done. Good job.
  8. Oh Frank, those are awesome. I think her daughter will be thrilled with them.
  9. Ok Last one. I put some of my cutouts together on one of the round wood discs I got from Menards (pay attention Ray) and this is what I came up with. Have a Happy Halloween Everyone. Hope you have lots of little trick or treaters.
  10. It looks good. Have you tried E6000 to glue your pieces together. It gives you a good amount of time to position your piece and it has a great bond even on painted surfaces.
  11. Still working on Halloween, couple more cuts.
  12. Good morning and Welcome to the Village. Great place to call home. Lots of friendly knowledgeable people here. Always willing to lend a helping hand. Questions and pictures are always welcome here. Take a bit of time and go thru all our forums , tons of information and be sure to check out our pattern forum some really great patterns there. Your sure to find something you like. I am Chelcass and I am in the state of MIchigan, USA.
  13. I guess I'm the only one with the Wen. I have had it since December and not a ounce of trouble. Very user friendly. I did watch Steve Good's video on the Wen and decided to give it a try. I do have my old Craftsman and Hegner as backups. I am not a heavy scroller I only do it for fun. I have read about other having issues with the Wen but I can only go on my experience with it. I bought mine off Amazon with a 150.00 gift card Amazon was advertising for taking out their credit card.
  14. Couple more.....lol I have this thing where I like a twofer.. That is when I cut out the silhouette and also keep the cut out area. I will add a backer and make a second ornament out of it. Samples below. The brown witch is Cedar so I up undecided if I should stain it, paint it or just leave as is.
  15. A few more: I did a before and after painting picture.
  16. Kentucky is the farthest south and Wyoming is farthest west.
  17. Very nice. You are going to have a great collection.
  18. They are also the perfect size to make a Lazy Susan. I love the clock Idea. Thought I would pass my find along to anyone who might be interested.
  19. For those who have a Menard in your area, I found this today. It is 12 inch round 1 inch think Pine for $2.22 and 11% rebate (1.98 after rebate). It is sanded and a really nice piece of wood. I only bought a couple but may get a few more.
  20. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that might be a H. Botas pattern. It sure looks like his style.
  21. We all fine tune our cuts, it's called sanding. I do it on every piece I cut. It's all part of scrolling. You are doing fine. Take a picture and date each of your pieces you will see improvements. Each piece presents a different challenge, some are much easier to cut other are more difficult and time consuming. Just take your time and enjoy the process.
  22. All looks great. I especially like the bulldog pulling the others ear. Who's pattern is that?
  23. Dick, Exactly what don't you like about the painting on this turtle. Here is a picture of a sea turtle I found on the internet and your coloring is very close. I really think you did a fine job. The only thing I might change is the color of the fish to yellow.
  24. Very, very nice, your coloring is spot on. Great job.
  25. Love it. My favorite President.
