  1. A few new pieces while I am trying to make time for a trip to LL Johnson lumber. I need a nice piece for the pattern Don made me for my Chickens. All of these are cut out of floor boards. Scraps left over from when we installed our new floors.
  2. Currently on sale on Amazon for 399.00 for those who may be interested. These Sales usually only last a couple of days.
  3. In my newsletter from Steve Good this morning he addressed the problem of the blade slipping out while scrolling. How many have heard of the Renewal Kit? Steve has a video showing a easy and better way to fix this issue many of us have (had) with our scrollsaws. Go to his site and watch the video. Hope this helps
  4. Travis posted it. If you look at the very top of the page you will see it. There are three boxes, the brown one on the right is the one you are looking for.
  5. I have the Wen LL2156 21 inch. I bought it the end of December. I love it! Haven't had a bit of trouble with it. Steve Good has a good video on the Wen 21, check it out to give you a better idea. If your wife is just starting out I think she would be happy with the Wen 21.
  6. What a sweet story. How could she not love the owl in a tree. Very nicely done. Congrats.
  7. Dave I think it is all one piece with the squares painted on. You can go with the mini magnets or you can buy sheets of magnets and cut to any shape you like.
  8. A couple I did a couple years ago.
  9. I also repainted the backer for the squirrel, wasn't happy with the Green.
  10. Here is a picture of it painted.
  11. Great looking puzzle, thanks for sharing.
  12. Welcome to the Village Lester from Central Michigan. Your work looks great, hope to see more. Be sure to check out our Pattern section and make sure to check out Steve Good's patterns, he has some really nice ones also. We have some great patten makers here who are always willing to lend a helping hand.
  13. Here are a couple of updated pictures. I went ahead and painted the squirrel. I still have to glue it to the backer and spray sealer on it.
  14. A couple of quick cuts. The squirrel I am trying to decide if I want to leave unpainted or go ahead and paint him and the oak leaf. Thoughts!!
  15. Only if there is a carrot attached to it.......llol
  16. I keep forgetting to post a picture of Trudy's sign..........so here it is.
  17. welcome to the Village. Check out all the different forums and make sure to check out our pattern forum. Lots of great ideas! Members here are very helpful and willing to answer any questions you may have.
  18. A lot depends on what wood you use and what blade you use. Some wood such as cherry and hickory usually need very little sanding. Pine on the other hand needs a lot of sanding as it gets little fuzzies. The sharper the blade the cleaner the cut. I use a FD Ultra reverse for most of my cutting.
  19. Betty and Wilma are done. Still trying to decide if I want to paint Minnie in color or do a black silhouette.
  20. I just bought this saw in December. I totally love it. It has many nice features that the Dewalt has and probably a few more. Love the large table that is smooth (slick) allowing the piece I am cutting to move easily. Blade tension is so easy to adjust and blade installation is a breeze. Clean out is super easy with the two drop down sides. Steve Good did a video on this saw and this is one of the reason I chose this saw. It seems people are having several different issues with the Dewalt so that was a turn-off for me. Now if you scroll to sell then this may not be the saw for you.
  21. Harvey Ball is the original creator.
  22. Steve Good has several patterns and he even has a girl gnome......................providing your wife will let you have a *girlfriend*.........................LOL
  23. Couple of gnomes I just finished gluing up. The wood is Hickory. Used a #5 FD ultra reverse blade.
