  1. Seyco will set the saw up and fine tune it before they send it to you. That's where I would buy mine if and when I buy one.
  2. Gimp is a great free program. Travis has some great videos he made here to teach you how to use Gimp and Inkscape.
  3. Congrats. I started with a Ryobi and got the Dewalt a couple of years ago. It's like night and day. You will love the DW saw.
  4. Wow very nice.
  5. Very nice Dan. I can't the difference between the 1/8" and 1/4" either.
  6. Very nice Marg. I love the stained glass effect.
  7. Thanks Ron. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.
  8. That is very clever Dan. I bet those would be a good seller at a show.
  9. Great job. I am also a big fan of the slabs of wood but have never worked with them myself.
  10. I use a drill bit just big enough for the blade to fit through. I use the FD new 3/0 spiral blades and a number 54 bit. I use a Dremel tool to do all of my drilling.
  11. That's a beautiful piece Jim. I can't imagine cutting that with any other blade.
  12. I hope it was only the one bad blade and not the whole pack.
  13. That's awesome. Congratulations.
  14. Do you know if it's possible to print on contact paper? You can buy 18" by 75' for $11. That would give you close to 200 pieces after it was cut up.
  15. Awesome work.
  16. Beautiful job Jim. Looks like a lot of places where you had to be very careful.
  17. Wow that's a lot of holes. Great job.
  18. Looks like you put it to great use. Those are some very nice pieces.
  19. Welcome to the Village. The best deal I have seen on the Dewalt is at Amazon. If you keep a close eye on them they will put it on sale for a very short time. Still going to be a little over $400. Not sure about the other saw. I have a Dewalt and love it. Not sure how to explain fretwork so I attached a picture of a fretwork I did.
  20. The person that helped me get started only uses spiral blades. He gave me a few to get started. The blade I use 99% of the time are the FD new 3/0 spiral. They are very small. I don't have much of a problem with fuzzies or cutting detail. I can actually cut a straight line better with a spiral blade than with a flat blade.
  21. I use Hot Stuff glue with the spray accelerate. It's the same glue JGR uses to do her intarsia. With the accelerate you have to be quick to get it right but it holds very good.
  22. The suspense is killing me. What blade did you get?
  23. Same as others. I change the blade when it doesn't cut like I want it to. You will be surprised how long a good blade will last.
  24. Great job Keith.
  25. Welcome the the Village and the scrolling obsession. Very impressive you did a great job cutting those.
