  1. Our club runs a contest each year to make a project from one 2 x 4. You can use any wood but must start with 96 x 3 1/2 by 1 /2 but special category for SPF I made this wacky owl birdhouse using a single SPF 2 x 4.
  2. Really like the way the maple leaf was cut.
  3. Peteb I have a Ex-21 which I think is the same. I took apart and there was lots of dust on the plate holding the bellows. Blew everything off and it seemed to make a difference. I blew out the hose too. I couldn't get the bellows out easily so I just left alone. Seyco does sell bellows for $20 but the question is how to get here. King service centre may be able to get the part too.
  4. I have a good friend who is a big Montreal Canadians fan so I made a Gnome for him as he was turning 90. As a die hard Leaf's fan it was hard to paint those colours. He was person who taught me how to scroll and my mentor. I have attached a picture that he gave me a few years ago. I will always cherish it.
  5. Check https://woodcraftbyscott.com/ Under patterns
  6. The link to video is herehttps://youtu.be/QlmkWxqsaJA?si=ab0BvFk6vdLVDiOb There is a link there to the pattern
  7. https://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com/ Scroll down a bit to Over 4,900 Digital Pattern Books. Many with multiple patterns.
  8. I searched on Amazon.ca and price is $13.72 Canadian.
  9. When I put on a backer I finish the top (stain or dip in 50/50 mix or shellac/alcohol). The back I typically paint black. I like the edges to be same a front so don't paint right to the edge. If staining the front I stain the edges on the back. I then glue front to back, I use Weldbond with good success. Dries clear and adheres well. I then spray with Ploy or lacquer
  10. Great idea. I use a piece of pine and shoot a 2 inch brad. Fix to 2x4. Makes great hangers for drying or spraying.
  11. Well done. Love the fonts
  12. Try AI. I have use coplot with some success. You just have to state exactly what you want and then ask for adjustments. Works great. I want ballerina slippers with a bow and it was perfect. I asked for svg but I cot back a png but it trace perfectly in Inkscape and I was able to create my pattern. I asked if free to use and I got back a message was maybe depending on source but it would not tell me the source. Since it was for personal use I used it anyways,
  13. Wouldn't you know it but I need a quick gift for a speaker at the club so what did I - do a kyechain NOTE different font.
  14. Each year when Travis puts out the call for new patterns I have an idea what to do. This year I was busy with other projects and teaching I was not prepared. I always cut before submitting to make sure everything okay. Well I have finally got them all cut and a few issues. The notes and clef were my Granddaughter's request for here tree in her room. Easy to cut so I did 5 more for her to paint. The Gnome on the moonbeam - this is not the same as the pattern in the book. I had a star on the top and when I passed it around at show at our club it got broken. It is way too thin so it should have been thicker. Also, the reins on the Santa sleigh as quite thin should have been thicker. Would have changed if I cut before submitting.
  15. I just finished the keychains on the Papa do list. ( Actually I suggested.) 60 keychains for the teachers and stall at her new school. Cut in maple, FB UR#1 and 3. Dipped in 50/50 shellac/alcohol. Buffed with carnaubawax
  16. I have checked an the link https://www.stevedgood.com/stencil/ works on Window machine. OR . check to see if your computer has mychain.otf or mychain.ttf if so you can use any word processor or Inkscape to generate keychains. period starts the chain and slash ends it. I use 90 point type. If not, you can do in Inkscape if you are so inclined. Here is my svg that I use when I do not want to use the Arial heavy font. Let my know if this is okay and I can provide more instructions. Or as last resort do as FAB4 says. You may not get and answer but check in a couple of days to see if fixed. PS: I do a lot of keychains (just finished Christmas order of 60 chains) so I tend not to use the individual keychain maker when doing multiples at a time. KEYCHAIN.svg
  17. That is how I found it on Bobby Riggs site. I used the Bing search - same thing.
  18. That pattern I think is from Bobby Riggs aka Scrollriffic Crosses If you email him to find out the availability http://[email protected]
  19. Well done. Love the baskets
  20. WOW really looks nice. I like the colours on all pieces. Never in my life have I ever "pushed through" a piece of Intarsia. They usually stay as PHD's (projects half done) for a while. Good luck in your next sale.
  21. Travis what is your deadline? I just need to get 1 more idea
  22. Well done. I love the compound name plate. Where did the bonus come in?
  23. I have compiled the index for the Ornaments for charity. index ornament for charity.xlsx
  24. The only thing I can think of is that you have to increase the threshold to make it show, Can you post the image and I will try. If an issue to post send it via PM.
