Blades are of ones own choosing . I have tried them all and I keep coming back to olson's . for me dthey seem to outlast all others.FD or pages. I guess that is the reason there is so many brands. IKE

I sometimes have provlems which is up side down or not. I took a piece of scrap plywood and drue with a square lines on it . If it is upside down it is real hard to cut a on the line.some times it doesn't work that good then I check to see if dthe line of saw dust on the table slants to the left lthe blade is in OK to the right dturn the blade to correct that. IKE

On thin stock I always use a backer but veryseldom need it. If it's good I sel it or give it away . If you need the backer stock and not giving it away or selling it use underlayment it's about the cheepist ply going.I use it as a finish backer piece painted. IKE

I have had 2 dewalts and each one is worse than the oone befor it .nMy funds are limited and I couldn't afford the higher priced saws. I bought a Delta, and it is dtwice the saw of the dewalt's. I have had it for 3 years with no probllem. I would like to have a dtop of the line saws but I just can't afford them. IKE

I have a nail gur( battery powered) it's quick easy and no mess. I bought it at Home depot for $110 including tax and nails with 105 off for vetrans discount.won't go any other way. IKE

I have a problemtelling which is up or down an any blade , to me it's just guess work I take a piece of 1/4 ply and draw lines on it and try the blade , If the blade cuts to the right it'w upside down to the left it's in right. IKE

Another watch what your doing on a table saw thread

About 10 years ago I was useing a table saw and of corse I had taken that blade guard off, They are always in the way,.I heard somehing and turned my heaad and za[ tjere went my thumb , it was cut right at the nuckle and dit was shattered, so my choice was have a short thumb or have a stiff one. I couldn't see how to mouth a large Mouth bass with a stiff thumb os I learned how to do it with a short one.. It could have been worse like cutting severa;l fingers off.Now I use the saw with the guard on. ike -

I would take some sawdust from the same piece of wood and mixeing it with a clear drying glue , Fill the crack with it and when dry sand it and it should be almost invisible .IKE

I donddd't have a Hegar 22 but I would put wheels flat on the back.( locking Wheels) that would make youdr saw with the back raised ( which for me it is more confy to run.) with a handle on the front for moving the saw. the locking dwheels helpds getting awaay with any vibration it might cause. IKE

Welcome to the village. there is a lot to learn here and you will come along fine and giving out advice befor you inow it. I have been in scrolling for many years have a lot of the other tools that just gather dust. I just love scrolling these other tools don't matter . you get scrolling in yur blood odther wood work don't matter IKE

those are nicde I have made several for salw done real good with them but I changed the design I used 1/4 ddial rods at the bottom to hold the cell phone. Never had any good reports on it but never dfecieved any bad reports. It was easier to make.I like your bird best , IKE

If your budget allows $300 I would go for the Delta 40-694 I bought one 2 years ago and I have hadd zero probllems with it i bought it from Lowes and at a 6 month same as cash. No intrest You are useing there money. IKE
