  1. Nice originality and I like the contrast you used here. From what you said, I assume the letters are part of the main board, at an angle so the are standing out from the rest of the sing, and the painted white. Is this correct? Dick heppnerguy
  2. Kevin, nice name pieces. These are good orders to get because they are quick to make and their is always profit in them. You rock Dick heppnerguy

I just might have to go to Australia and spend some time with you to learn more about the technique. I not only like your bird but I love how you did the frame too.. Dick heppnerguy
  14. Not sure how to do this type of work. I guess one can not do everything, unless of course, your name might to Ron Dick heppnerguy
  15. At a boy, Dan, I know right away you had this one under control. Glad for you that you chose to push the envelop. Now I hope we don't loose you to a furniture making sight, Just remember you are a valuable member here and we all want to not go away.. Your table came out wonderfully. love the nice finish you achieved. Dick heppnerguy
  16. wow nice job. One can not go wrong cutting a Charles Dearing pattern if they have the talent and skill to do so..Yours is really well done.. Love it Dick heppnerguy
  17. my opinion is one should start cutting easy patterns, like silhouettes and when it is something you have no problem with and then try something a little more difficult with inside cut outs. and the same process continues until one finds they can cut any pattern they wish to try. Starting with too difficult of a pattern only brings dissatisfaction and disappointment and sometime leads to giving up and thinking one just can not do this at all. I think a lot of scroll saws on Craig's List end up there for that very reason.. Only push your envelop when you have almost.mastered the skill level you are in. That is how I feel about it. Dick heppnerguy
  18. The first time i saw a scroll saw in operation, it was something similar to what you are talking about. The young man that was giving the demo free hand cut simple, small animals and gave them to the ones in his audience that wanted them. He also cut little houses where he tilted the table and then the house could protrude and stand out in an 3D likeness. The people were amazed by those. I think the scouts are not going to be watching how to scroll saw as much as to be amazed at what you can do with the saw and let them have the pieces you cut to take home. Just my take on this.. Hope it gives you some fresh ideas. Dick heppnerguy
  19. Frank. the fun and original clock maker, here on the Village. Always enjoy your clock posts. Keep up the good work Dick heppnerguy
  20. Our Russian puzzle expert, again posts some puzzle master pieces for all of us, all over the world, can enjoy your outstanding works of art. I have to say that I have never looked at puzzle cutting as works of art but instead a fun way to bring delight to those that do love building various puzzles.. You have put a new slant on that, for me. It is really exciting to see what you do.. Thanks for remembering us and posting your work. Dick heppnerguy
  21. We have a county worker who is retiring this month after 27 years of faithful work. They are having a retirement party for her this afternoon, so I went on Sue Mey's sight and purchased the pattern to make for her as a gift from my wife and I. I altered it a little as it also had a woman on a motorcycle on the bottom of it,, She is not that kind of person and we just eliminated that and shortened the bottom. I think it still came out pretty well. I hope she likes it, as that is all that matters to us Dick heppnerguy
  22. Coming from such a talented person as you are, Ron, I am feeling really pumped when a comment like this comes from someone who's work you admire so much Dick heppnerguy
