  5. John, I have come to the conclusion that you are a genius to figure out everything that you had to overcome to build such an elligent piece. From the pool table box to the pool ball clock... I am floored at all you had to figure out to pull this one off and this is not even talking about the skill level you have also Dick heppnerguy
  6. I agree.. happily, so far, I have not had any damage occur to a piece I have sanded but it is always a breath holder, anyway. Dick heppnerguy

  11. I think I will just stay with whatever version I now have because so far I have not had any noticeable problems. Looks like it is not worth the effort to change to me..'If it ain't broken, save the Duct tape" that is my motto Dick heppnerguy
  12. I checked out the sight....It was a hands down run away by you.. I have to say the 'piece of wood' had some interesting imaginative creation but was a long way off from yours..I would have given that one a second place for imagination.. the deorative box was well done too but the 'imagination' pieces have would have my vote for originality. Thanks for sharing this with me, I enjoyed looking it over Dick heppnerguy
  13. That must have been one heck of a great example of skillful work there.. Were you able to take any photos of your competition? It would be interesting to see what you were up against..

  21. What a truly wonderful retirement plaque...It could not have been any better than this.. His wife knew who to go to for the results she was after and you rally came through. it is an inspiration to all pattern makers and scrollers... and a really nice addition is the little eagle.. so small,,,,so very well done too Dick heppnerguy
  22. I have been looking at this pattern on Sue Mey's page for awhile now and wondering if it is worth the gamble to buy and hope it will sell. You did a very nice job on yours.. thanks so much for posting it Dick' heppnerguy
  23. I designed adn made this plaque for my daughter and hope it helps her whenever she is feeling a little down, It took me about an hour and a half to make the pattern and about 3 hours to cut it. It has one about 140 holes so it is not a long time cutting piece. I am going to offer these with or without the names on my Facebook page for sale. I am not quite finished with it yet but will be shortly. it will not look any different but will have a finish and be ready to hang.. I sure hope she likes it. I am fairly happy with the pattern, myself Dick heppnerguy
  24. On Chachi's pattern that was used as an example you can import it into Inkscape and then go to 'path' and select 'trace bit map' click 'update and OK' . now slide the new image off the original. the one that is transparent is the 'trace bit map'....with that one selected, you can click on the lightest gray color from the color bar at the bottom and that will lighten the trace bit map image then right click on the 'stroke' at the bottom left of the page and select 'black' that will put an outline on the image.. You will notice there will be a "1" to the right of 'stroke" you can right click that and select .5 ( point 5) and the outline size will decrease by half. that will result in the image I have posted here. or you can select the red colors if you choose to cut them.. Either will help you a lot with seeing your blade as you cut Dick heppnerguy
  25. Welcome to The Village, With Clayton as your friend, you have it made. He will be more than happy to guide you along as needed. So I will be expecting some great things from you very soon.. Glad it turned out so well for you.. Dick heppnerguy
