  1. Paul, With your cutting skills, you will, and probably have already discovered, that cutting gears is not nearly as difficult as one might think. You could take on a gear clock and make it successfully., with no problem at all. I am sure of that. Have fun with your little gear gadget. I am sure you will quickly understand that making a wooden gear clock is something you can, not only do successfully but will also enjoy. I bet the next time I come to your house I will hear several gear clocks ticking away in your home. I bought plans for a gear clock, shortly after I started scrolling and have a couple all cut out but have never finished them. I probably should dig them out and get with it Dick heppnerguy
  2. Fun original combination of arts. It will be fun to see if your idea catches on and we start to see a lot more of this combination of mediums used here Dick heppnerguy
  3. This one will be well received. Fun to see fine pieces like this one, done to a T Dick heppnerguy
  4. We also donate to St Jude's. it is one of the few charitable where all the money goes where you want it to. And the children are treated free at St. Jude's. a truly wonderful place to give Dick heppnerguy
  5. Ha ha ha. I hacked his email and got the numbers. But unfortunately I got them turned around and entered them this week and they turned out to be losers for me because I was a week late buying my tickets but I did use the logo ticket to help light the wood stove in my shop to warm it, so all was not lost. 6. Every Valentine's Day, my bride and I deliver flowers in our little community. The flowers and arrangements are all done at our local pharmacy. The pharmacy supplies flowers for our church every Sunday for no charge and some of our church members deliver flowers for the pharmacy on Valentine's Day and Mother's Day. We love delivering the flowers to a lot of surprised people. Today, as I was leaving an office I overheard the receiver of the flower delivery, say to another lady with her, " My husband would not send this......it has to be from one of my kids". I laughed all the way back to the car. A fun and romantic Valentine's Day to all Dick Heppnerguy
  7. Thanks for checking that out. Someone must have informed Steve of the error and he fixed it. it is not too late as it is good that it has been fixed and just might help others to know that Dick heppnerguy
  8. I too believe the question was addressed at the titles awarded here in The Village above everyone's avatar. like Newbie, Zen scroller, master scroller. obsessed scroller. and of course, AMAZINGSCROLLER which belongs to Kevin for his unheard of 27,6000 plus posts. That being said, I really enjoyed reading all the responses to the question. Then of course, I could be off on how i interrupted the question too. Dick heppnerguy
  9. Les here is one I did not see for some time until someone mentioned it to mt daughter,,that is ...after you get to the end of a message thread there is a message at the bottom of everything else on that thread that says "Next unread Topic" click on that and you save yourself a lot of rummaging around to get to where you probably wish to go anyway Dick heppnerguy
  10. There was never any doubt about that, Lawson...........but heck, who doesn't look better than me?? See...you can't come up with anyone, can you? Dick heppnerguy
  11. I don't know about that but I do know The Village is certainly filled with good and loving people.. You all make my life a little more richer by being a member of this wonderful family Dick heppnerguy
  12. Last night was the benefit for little Asher, the little guy with the incurable decease. it was very well attended and they raised a lot of money . which will be used for research for what is now incurable. My little ram plaque went for $150 which is more than I would have sold it for by $100. So i am happy that I was able to do that small part. They had probably about 100 or more things donated to the write in bid items, where my piece was. Those things went for $50 up to about $200 each. Then there were 90 items that were auctioned off and those went from $400 to over $2000 each. There also was a steak dinner for $20 a plate and I would estimate there was probably at least 300 of those dinners served. The place was packed. The line to get into the dinner was all the way through that building and out on the sidewalk to get in. I heard that some people left because the line was too long. A couple of gals from our material store had a raffle on a quilt they made and the tickets were $5 each. they sold over $2000 worth of tickets on it. So to guess the amount brought in by this little town for this event is unknown by me but it was huge. I am writing this to thank all of you who prayed for Asher and his family.. To me that is more meaningful and treasured then all the money earned last night. Oh, by the way. I was wrong about Asher's age. Asher is only 3 years old. Your prayers along with our daily prayers are being heard by our awesome God and my wife and I are expecting to learn of a miracle for Asher because of all your prayers. I can not thank all of you enough for this little guy and his wonderful family. Please continue to pray for them. Dick heppnerguy

  14. Ha Ha Ha, Len love your comment Dick heppnerguy
  15. It is a perfect pattern for cutting and you did an excellent job with it.... Dick heppnerguy
  16. Nice idea.. I did Steve Good's Fender Stratocaster, I think is was called and posted it on my Facebook page, just to add something new and sold 3 of them within the hour..guitar's are very popular.. I like your idea with the change.. I will have to give that a try too Dick heppnerguy
  17. This is another Steve Good pattern. I just knew my wife would enjoy one of these, so I made this one for her. Of course when i have something for her, I just can not wait to give it to her. So here she is with her dog and the plaque I made for her.. If you are eyeing that pattern on Steve Good's page, be aware that he has a floater in it, before you cut it . It is on the lower left part of the letter, H. you will end up with a hole there, if you do not stop the swirl like I did here Dick heppnerguy
  18. no picture...no errors as well... I will come back and take a look later today and see what your clock looks like Dick heppnerguy
  19. With that many people in attendance, and all the wonderful animal puzzles you make..You should have a terrific day there.... remember to relax and have fun with the people as you busily sell your items Dick heppnerguy
  20. This clock is one that Steve Good posted a couple of days ago, I was excited to see it because as some already know,I really like the Eiffel Tower. I have made several Eiffel Towers but they were more detailed than this one is. I have to say when I went to download the pattern, I was disappointing that it was not a 4 sided pattern but I wanted to make it anyway. I have to say that is was a little time consuming do to the many holes to cut, but it is one that I believe anyone could cut without much difficulty. It does not take a lot of skill as almost everything is just a series of small straight lines. I added and stained a backer board to give it strength as it is rather tall and heavy, because it is 1/2 solid wood and the three section were only glued together where they meet. I do like the looks of the finished item and will offer it for sale on my Facebook page Dick heppnerguy
  21. Way to go .. continue posting what you do. it is fun seeing your work and the variety of things you have made. I love the little hurricanes on the plaque.. Nice touch Dick heppnerguy
  22. Really nicely done pattern. looks like you nailed this one for sure Dick heppnerguy
  23. I have also looked at the wooden rifles but i have yet to order a pattern for one. yours looks great.. cutting, finishing and display Dick heppnerguy
  24. I don't believe that I am aware of this process. I may have seen something about it somewhere but I have never tried it..I do not see myself taking the time to do that now either. sometimes i ignore things like this for a long time and eventually see a need to try it and then wish i would have done that in the first place Dick heppnerguy
  25. My goodness. I went to your web sight and looked at your awesome work. You are what I would have to call a 'puzzle wizard'. Your puzzle work is like nothing I have ever seen anywhere else. You are one ambitious person, indeed. I am so glad that you are a member of The Village because of you joining us here, it has given me the privilage of seeing the unbelievable talent that I have seen nowhere else before... Thank you for the great inspiration you have given to me to be a lot more of a scroller than I am today.. Dick heppnerguy
