  3. You sure know how to make your grandson one happy little camper. I love it when you realize what their interests are and you can then know what to make for them. I love his wall and obviously, so does he Dick heppnerguy
  4. looks like a winner to me. I saw that pattern listed somewhere and I liked it also. I do not remember where it was though. You did a splendid job on this. Thanks for posting Dick heppnerguy
  5. this is a Steve Good pattern that I added to our great grandson's birthday presents. I have an extreme difficulty getting the photos I take of project from my camera to my computer so I do not post many of the ones i cut. This one did make it there, but still not sure how. This little toy will help my great grandson to have one more item to play with on his birthday coming up in a short time. This was an easy and quick one to make. The photo did not come out well as the sun was reflecting through the window onto it and made the whitish color look like it was not finished very well but it really ended up looking just fine in real life. The wheels,( that I did not have time to buy for this ), were just simple circles so I made the groove in them to give it a wheel / tire look and painted the tires black. That really did help a lot to give it some kind of realism that it otherwise lacked in that part. Dick heppnerguy
  6. Not very familiar with the actor but you sure did a great pattern from the photo, as you always manage to. Dick heppnerguy
  7. I love this pattern and I have been eyeing it also. So glad that I still have my good health and I am not very distracted by the systems you are going through. You did a splendid job on this one. Congratulations. I also really wish for a good results on your efforts to have your eyes taken care of soon. Dick heppnerguy
  8. I love cutting the baskets as they are rather interesting to do and they don't take a lot of wood. I cut this pattern also. Great job Dick heppnerguy

  12. great job. I can see why you already have a place to hang it in mind. Dick heppnerguy
  13. you are an outstanding wood worker. I had no idea when you joined up that you were so talented. It appeared you were an entirely new scroller with no knowledge in working with wood. You so quickly showed me to be completely wrong. Your work is so very amazing and nice. Dick heppnerguy
  14. really cute and useful project. Hard to beat that combination. Great work Dick heppnerguy
  15. Nice to see you venturing out once more. I had no doubt you would do a great job. You are one amazing person. So glad we are such good friends too Dick heppnerguy
  16. Erv, not all 3 year olds care about such things as the dinosaurs. All they usually want are toys. So I a am in the process of also making him a NASCAR model that he can play with. It is easy but serves the purpose at this time. I will post it when I get the chance. I still have a couple more days left to finish it. Dick heppnerguy
  17. The blade holder you show are very similar to the ones that were sent to me by one of our previous members here. They were so much easier then the original ones. I recently purchased the Pegas blade holders for my EX and I love them. I really don't notice a difference in the vibration of the saw but I never felt there was a vibration problem in the first place. What I like about the Pegas blade clamps is the fact that they designed the blade tension slots so both the upper and lower slots have no obstructions and it improves clamping and replacing the blades 90 percent, for me. So much easier and faster. I will eventually replace the ones on my other EX saw with them also. They appear to be made of a better material also but not positive about that as I am pretty ignorant about metals. Just my take. Dick heppnerguy
  18. I have 4 new great grands that are all turning 3 years old within 3 months of each other. the one I made these dinosaurs for are big into Spiderman and dinos. I found this pattern on Steve Good's sight and thought that he would enjoy this one for his room. I know he is only going to be three but I also know how much he enjoyed the Spiderman I cut for him on Christmas. So I am quite sure he will enjoy this one also. I hope to find time to make him some kind of toy to play with also. Dick heppnerguy

Fun and unusual technique. Would be interesting to be putting this piece of history together as a puzzle. Nice memories for us elderly people. Dick heppnerguy
  20. very nice work and I love how your colorizing is coming along. The accent added colors are real inspirational to me. I am just about ready to work on some of those techniques myself. Thanks for posting these. Dick heppnerguy
  21. I know the Hawks are one of the better saws on the market, and you are correct about the one I had. I understand that the newer models have some much needed improvements and I would not object or reject one of the newer one to anyone. Mine had the barrel blade fasteners and that too was too much to mess with, in my opinion, how ever I received a homemade and much easier replacement that the person made and sent to me. I am really sorry that I can't remember his name as he was quite prominent in the Village for some time and he passed away about a year ago. when i received the new adapters from him I immediately sent hime a large box of exotic wood as a thank you. Just fill you in on my thinking on the saw. Dick heppnerguy
  22. I bought one like this one at an estate sale for $65 a few years back and I was so excited to get it. After I had it for about a year I gave it to my daughter, who still has it and it is still running great. I use it occasionally when I am in Oregon but it is a real pain to use do to the task of changing the blades and adjusting the tension. I would not buy it if I had it to do all over again. Dick heppnerguy
  23. With no contrasting backer board and the angle of the photo, is probably why it is difficult to understand what one is looking at on the owl. The pattern photo helps somewhat indeed. Nice work with the scrolling. Thanks for posting Dick heppnerguy
  24. You certainly aced this project. Great scrolling effort Dick heppnerguy
  25. Another great job on these projects. You are a very impressive scroller Dick heppnerguy
