  1. Thanks to you, I now know a better way to get the Christmas tree topper on the top of the tree without a ladder. Very cleaver. Dick heppnerguy
  2. He actually told me again today how much he loves it. It makes me happy when I give something I made to someone and they seem so proud to call it theirs. I also know just because I like something does not mean another person will care much about it, because everyone has different tastes. Dick heppnerguy
  3. You are one creative person. I can not imagine an idea like this would ever pop into my mind. They fooled me until I read your post and took another look. Quite interesting Dick heppnerguy
  4. Welcome to The Village. Glad you choose to join us. I have never regretted doing the same 10 years ago. I have learned a lot here and have met several people who are also members. I have some whom I consider my really good friends now. Hope you enjoy being here as much as I do. So Welcome from the warmest state in the USA, Southern Arizona. Dick heppnerguy
  5. Thanks Erv, It is fun when something from out pasts snaps into view and it almost always brings a smile to our faces when this happens. "Oh, wow, I haven't seen one of those for a long time. I almost totally forgot about it. then as our memories are sparked, it really only seems like yesterday when the item was being used." Dick heppnerguy
  6. they were an interesting and original idea of their time. If I remember correctly there were two sections of seat on the lower deck and three stairs leading up to the up section where the remainder of the seating was located. I could be wrong about the numbers, but seem to be how I remember things, now days Dick heppnerguy
  7. I learned something from you a while back about painting the bridge on the wheels and I was lucky enough to have that teaching of yours, pop into my head as I was making this. Thanks for the wisdom you shared with me Dick heppnerguy
  8. I never knew that Greyhound operated in other countries , except for Canada. I learn something almost every day, it seems Dick heppnerguy
  9. I used to load them when I was in high school, during the summer. I really liked this vehicle at the time and it was a fun memory when I found the pattern for it. Dick heppnerguy
  10. I have a good friend that I met shortly after we moved to Southern Arizona. He has purchased several of my wood projects and he had his 82nd birthday this week. One time while in my shop, he saw a plaque I had made for myself and mentioned how much he liked it. so for his birthday, I made one for him too. He had it hanging on his wall the same day he received it. If you are old enough you may remember these greyhound scenicruisers. Dick heppnerguy
  11. OH, here is a photo of The Little Bull tractor Dick heppnerguy
  12. nice tractor plaques. The old gasoline tractors really do not go back that far. Me wife's great grandfather was the first person to manufacture a gasoline tractor. It was called 'The Little Bull'. When he started the manufacturing he hired a company to make them but soon they could not keep up with the agreed production rate because the motors took them too long to make and slowed them down. So my wife's GGrandfather started a company just to make the motors. That company is still in business today and you may very well have some of their products. He started TORO. Dick heppnerguy
  13. I love your work and your kind generosity. Thanks for the inspiration you give to so many here in the Village. Dick heppnerguy

  16. I love that you covered so many branches of service. I also will look up the pattern. I have a couple of Navy people in the family as well as a carrier Navy friend. Thanks for the inspiration. Dick heppnerguy
  17. That is a fun idea. A guest book that will hang on the wall forever as not only a reminder of their wedding but also a reminder of the nice thing you did for them. I love the font you used on their last name.. Can you tell me what the name of that font is? Dick heppnerguy
  18. always enjoy your videos. Thanks for what you do for so many others' Dick heppnerguy

  22. thanks for the nice comment. I was a quick and easy project but I think the little guy will like it too, at least I hope he does. Dick heppnerguy
  23. Next week my great grandson will be celebrating his 2nd birthday and he is so excited about dinosaurs. So I talked with his mom and ask her if she thought he would like a room plaque with his name and a dinosaur on it. She told me he would be so excited to have one. I saw a post of someone's dino plaque and liked the way he designed it so I sort of took off on his fun idea and made this one. I used a different dinosaur so that it would not be an exact copy of his and I painted it to stand out a little more. I am pleased with this one and it only took about 15 minutes to cut it out. so, easy it was and hopefully it will bring a smile or two to his face. Dick heppnerguy
  24. I always like your videos and usually end up getting some good tips from you. This project is easy to make and cut and it is easy to come up with different ideas for them. Dick heppnerguy
  25. I like your projects here and it is easy to see why she purchased them. Bowls and baskets are not difficult to make and always seem to attract people and get nice comments from them. It was a woven looking scroll saw basket that attracted my to do scrolling. I have enjoyed it ever since. Dick heppnerguy
