  1. I forgot the picture and as soon as I posted it, I tried to edit it in. The program said it was too soon after the post and would not let me post it, so I came back an hour or so later and was able to do so Dick heppnerguy

  3. you are so cleaver and creative. This has to be a first for a record cutting. Let's see if it starts some kind of fad. Nicely done and very interesting indeed Dick heppnerguy
  4. This is the third one of these I have cut. I struggle with the detailed models/toys but I have found that I always enjoy the challenges of them when I am making them. I originally made it with no painting because I do not have the talent for doing so. After I gave it to my friend, he said it needed to be painted so it would pop on the shelf. So then that project became even more challenging then if I would have painted it before assembly. Considering that, I have to say I am about 85 percent satisfied with the end results. 5. Nicely done. the precision in your cutting looks perfect and it and again the framing is perfect Dick heppnerguy
  6. This project says so much without using any words at all. It has so much action in the way it is made. Dick heppnerguy
  7. You did a really nice job on these projects. Perfect gift for anyone. Do you happen to know the name of the font he used here? Dick heppnerguy
  8. CAN I BE YOUR GRANDSON???? IS 82 TOO OLD TO BE THAT? Tell her I send a big CONGRATULATIONS to her. What a great job she did. Dick heppnerguy
  9. I was so excited when I saw you had posted another project. I, once again, was not at all disappointed in what I saw. Nice project, again. Dick heppnerguy
  10. I wish I had your painting talents. This is really wonderfully done. He will have so much fun showing it to his fellow team mates. They will be so jealous. Tell him they can order one from you for X amount. Dick heppnerguy
  11. If this was a piece I was interested in keeping, I would have not been very happy with myself but since it was for the fun of seeing how fast I could cut it and how well my new found wood stood up to the test, it did not matter how it turned out, to me. Dick heppnerguy
  12. It looks like you could not have given him a better gift if you shopped for days in a store for something. Hey, You can always find time to make one for yourself too. Dick heppnerguy
  13. I love the fret patterns more than any other type patterns i have cut. I am always been in a hurry to finish my project so my poorest part is one of the most important parts. That being the finishing. I am just this years realizing what a big mistake that has been. Now I am trying to learn more about the finishing process. It is something I should have paid attention to from the beginning. Dick heppnerguy
  14. Oh, now I am finally able to say that this is one I have cut a couple of times already. It is indeed a great pattern too. Good for you, taking the time to make those nice frames and for the excellent cutting and finish work, once more. You are the man Dick heppnerguy
  15. I'm jealous as I have been eyeing this pattern for awhile and it is one that I really want to do. You did a magnificent job on it and you are right, it is well worth the time invested in it. I like the lighter wood as it stands out better, in my opinion. Superb project. I do not expect to I will be able to match your skill here, but I am going to do my best anyway and not worry about not being able to match yours. Dick heppnerguy
  16. I really like how your colors came out.. do you ever make videos? I what love to see how you go about coloring these. I don't have very good luck when I try to do that. Dick heppnerguy
  17. what a fun and good idea for future wins, should that happen. Have to hang on to this one as it is good forever. Dick heppnerguy
  18. It is a rather fun project for me, as I like the old windmills and there are still quite a few of them to be found in the farm fields in Eastern Oregon. Of course, they are no longer functional but they are an interesting part of our past in the western USA. Dick heppnerguy
  19. One of the good sides to making a kit is it makes it a lot easier to ship it. No special boxes and it pretty much eliminates breakage too. Dick heppnerguy
  20. You have an eye for talent. I should send all my projects to you and you could colorize them for me...I wasn't able to even come up with an idea of what colors to use Dick heppnerguy
  21. Well it is an easy pattern to cut....the very reason I choose it Dick heppnerguy
  22. I hit the wrong number keys on the time to cut the letters. It did not take anywhere near 68 minutes, it should read 8 minutes. how embarrassing.. a first time cutter could do this project in less time than that. Dick heppnerguy
  23. I used a #3 Pegas R{MTG} I believe might be the right end initials but not sure about that Dick heppnerguy
  24. It is a throw away piece, just to test my scrap wood I found in a garbage can in my neighbor hood. Dick heppnerguy
  25. It was really about seeing if the scrap wood I salvaged would hold up under stress. Speed cutting was my idea of a good test for it. It passed the test. I would never had glued it up so quickly if it was a project I was planning to keep. I like your idea about the parchment paper. Thanks for the good suggestion Dick heppnerguy
