  1. I really like this one. Very nice job.
  2. I mean, really! How the heck do you do that?? Beautiful pieces.
  3. I wonder if someday when Travis is bored, he could think up a way a poster could delete his own post? There have been times I wish I could. Maybe there is a way, I just don't know how.
  4. Dave, you do such a great job on these plaques you make. That is a beauty.
  5. I don't have any idea except spray, gloss paint. Thanks for showing. I want to try some of those..... I think they are cool.
  6. Good to see you back in business. These are some mighty fine work.
  7. The assortment of blades like you ordered is a very good way to go. From that set I quickly learned which Pegas MG blade I liked and which did not work for me. Saved me money. From there I started ordering a dozen or so of the Pegas blades that were not the MG ones and found the ones I really like for other cuttings. A good place to order from is: http://www.dndsawbladesonline.com/ real good/quick service.
  8. I am weak! I caved, I bought the pattern and two others.... Hello, I am Scrappile, I am a patternholic. Where was my sponsor??
  9. No, I have never tried an Olsen blade. I should, maybe. I have always liked the Flying Dutchman blades. Tried the Pegas MG blades and found them too aggressive for most of what I do. However I tried some of their other blades and found the double skip that I really like for my work.
  10. Sounding good. Maybe try a little more aggressive blade if there is one. I don't know what you use, but that Pegas Modified Geometry is very aggressive, in my opinion.
  11. That is clever and very well done.
  12. You did a great job on that. I want that pattern and several others he has. I think breaking the habit of buying patterns is harder than breaking the smoking habit. .... ... ... was.
  13. Do not apologize for have a second, third or whatever language. Be proud. Your English is 100% better than my French. Welcome to the forum. So glad you have decided to join in. I'm am very anxious to see some of your work.
  14. Dick is fine, a busy man. I received a message from him a couple days ago. He has pop in a commented a couple times on the forum, over the past few weeks. He is still settling into his new digs, exploring, and making friends. I am sure he will be back in do time. He may be sitting on his beautiful new covered patio, fishing in the lake!! Life is tough.
  15. Holy cow. I went looking at pen kits yesterday, I need a certain kit to make some rifle cartridge pens. I can't remember the name of the kit, but it is a cheap kit, along the lines of the "Slimline". I just use some of the parts from the kit.. Anyway, I haven't done a pen in years.... and wow the prices has really gone up from when I was into it. Talk about "sticker shock"!! Glad I lost interesting that hobby.
  16. Those will be very "popular". You are going to be very busy.
  17. Beautiful, Kevin! Not you, ,,, the tree
  18. Great looking bird house. I bet he liked it, the birds will like it even more. For moles. I whittle a whirl-gig that consists of a propeller mounted loosely on the front of stick 1x1 about a foot long. Put a rudder on it, metal coffee can lids worked great, but you just can't get them any more. I mount this on top of a stake, Loosely so it can turn with the direction of the wind, and stick the stake in the ground. When there is a breeze the prop turns the whole thing rattles somewhat. Does not kill moles but it drives them away. I have a couple of these in my garden, they have been there twirling away for years. No Moles. Fun to make, fun to watch and they work.
  19. Exactly the same with me. I can do the work most times, but I have to have a pattern.. Maybe I have no imagination. Tell you wife that is a get design.
  20. Nice looking, and very well done. What do you plan for finishing? I appreciated reading what it was about in you other post.
  21. Don't see flaws! Very nice. Did you have a pattern for the pieces and that board? Really like how that board folds up. I have been thinking about attempting the one that was in the last magazine, but I not sure. Gator did a beautiful one a few year ago. What ever happen to Gator? He hasn't been around.
  22. Please keep us posted. Hope this time things are good to go.
