  1. Congrats you are going to love that saw.
  2. Great job! Yes, I have been watching those patterns. They are intriguing. So many patterns so little time.
  3. It is pretty small. The rocks are around 8" at the base, 4" high. Jesus, the tallest, is around 2.5" tall. You had the woods correct, the first rock behind the figures is Mahogany and the back rock is a piece of plywood. If I make it again I will increase the size somewhat.
  4. I made this yesterday. Just wanted something for Easter. Sorta like a Nativity for Christmas. This is a simple Steve Good pattern. All from small pieces of scrapwood.
  5. Nice piece. Some of the patterns meant for laser are not easy, even if they are PDF files.
  6. Congrats,, green is good!
  7. Right after the sad announcement about Steve, my wife broke a case she used in the kitchen to hold her wooden utensils in. So I decided to make something to replace it. Found this Steve pattern I had downloaded years ago. It is not quite fininshed, I have to do more sanding and apply finish but I wanted to post it before this thread was done. I sure miss the daily email from scroll saw workshop.
  8. HELLO AND WELCOME!
  9. Super. That is very special.
  10. Awesome job! You win my vote!
  11. Not all Sumac is poisonous, but one verity certainly can be. Sorta like poison oak and Ivy. Pays to be cautious with it.
  12. I really like this one. Nice choice of wood. He is like solid old oak. He has been one of my favorites for years. One that if he is in it, I will like it. Like Tom Selleck, Morgan Freeman, etc. They are dying off. Very few younger ones that can replace them.
  13. Pattern like that is a good argument for spiral blades.
  14. Really like those. Nice work
  15. Great looking.
  16. If I got one, it would have to be a different color to get in my shop. Maybe orange or red to match my saws. It is a nice tool chest, though.
  17. I guess I will give this a try. I am having so much trouble with right hand that Been thinking maybe my scrolling days are coming to an end. Something like this may help prolong my journey.
  18. Great piece. Walnut is great, I also like Mahogany and Butternut.
  19. Great design! well done.
  20. I ordered it, but paypal on the final invoice showed the mailing address as my home, even though I had changed it. I do not get usps delivery at my house. So I do not know if I will get it or not. Things like this are why I deleted my PayPal account a few years ago.
  21. Here is Steve's video show exactly what you get when you order his catalog of patterns and how to use it.
  22. I've always wanted to try cutting coins, but I am too cheap! If you want to see neat coin cutting check out the gallery of member @hotshot. He hasn't posted for some time, but that was his forte.
