  1. Another nice one Kevin.
  2. Nicely done.
  3. First thing I remove from a scroll saw also.
  4. Kevin those are really nice. I plan on getting into trying the ornament thing next year, God willing, I waited too long to get started this year. I will try to remember these.
  5. I think you grew that piece of wood just for that piece. Goes perfect, very nice.
  6. That is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Sir, you did an outstanding job! Very nice.
  8. Charles also has them in photobucket http://s206.photobuc...e?sort=6&page=1 That is some really great scrolling, Jim. His patterns are fun.
  9. More good info, I only wish I knew how to do it.
  10. Thanks for the info Scrimper. I have downloaded a couple of his free plans. Have not done any yet. I found that the plan I bought, I could convert it from .pdf format to .jpeg with Gimp. Then I could print it as a poster using Posterazor. Them tape the pages together, just like I do with other patterns.
  11. Great blades. Congrats. I went crazy one and bought an expensive Forrest blade. It does not cut any better than the Freud. They are my go to blades.
  12. I received info back this morning on the pattern I was interested in. For those interested in what it costs, there is a copy of the email: I can send you the patterns 028 to the USA in two ways: 1. In pdf by email. In this case the price is the price of the patterns and there is no shipping cost thus the total is 9 euro. You need to know that they must be printed with an A3 size printer. Since these printer sizes are not common at home you may need to take them to a printing shop for printing. With this method you will get the patterns within hours after payment. 2. Already printed, by registered mail. The shipping cost is 6 euro thus the total is 15 euro. You can make the payment to my paypal account [email protected] To make the payment you go to www.paypal.com and follow the instructions to send the payment to my paypal account [email protected] You do not need to create a paypal account or register with paypal in any way. Please make the payment in euros, you will be charged in US dollars by your card provider. Please do not make payments in dollars. If you find this confusing tell me your choice and I will invoice you with a paypal email from which you can pay following easy instructions. So the first option would run around $11.19 converted to US dollar. I don't know what A3 printer means. Looks like they take 11.7 x 16.5 paper. I don't know what it would cost to get it printed. The second option would run me $18.66 US. Not as bad as I thought it would be but I have to give it some more thought. The first method is a PDF file, I'm wondering why I couldn't print it like a poster, I have that option on my printer.
  13. Looks great, Gator and really a cute presenter you have.
  14. Some very nice scrolling, Chris. What kind of wood are you using in the first three portraits? Great work.
  15. I'm curious if anyone in the U.S. has purchased any patterns from this site and if it is legit and what does it usually cost for shipping? Got some beautiful stuff here. http://www.finescrollsaw.com/order.htm
  16. Very well done.
  17. Slices of large dowel for the wheel and 1/4" or so dowel for the axle. Drill a hole in the toy body to glue the axle into. Drill a hole in the wheel dowel that will fit the axle and turn freely on it. Use a piece of dowel a little larger than the axle dowel to make a hub cap that will hold the wheel on the axle. Glue the "hub cap" to the axle not the wheel...... That is about as simple and basic as it gets. Maybe if we knew what tools you have access to, there would be other suggestions.
  18. Glad you joined us, Garcia. I'm Paul from S.E. Washington State. Looking forward to seeing some of your scroll work.
  19. Okay my fears were unwarranted, turned out beautiful!

  21. I can't imagen doing scrolling by hand. My hats off to you, great job!
  22. Ha, I haven't done this in over 30 years! it is showing by my pile of miss measuring and cutting. You are right about the taping and sanding. When I built my house 33 years ago the taping, sanding and texturing is one of the few things I hired done. I have never been sucessful at it.
  23. Very beautiful and great work.
  24. Ha! I love them, would be a great gift for my son-in-law!

That is nice. I don't understand how you cut something that thin. You can't stack them if they have individual names on them....
