  1. If you ever find the pattern will you show us? I'd lime to see it.
  2. A very smooth running saw. The only wear point to be aware of is the aluminum wedge at the rear of the saw's upper arm. It rides in a vee groove and should be pretty sharp. Not rounded over. See if they will send pics of that area.
  3. The huge difference between the two saws that I see is parts availability. The P20 parts will become scarce at some point but the Hawk will never have that problem in your lifetime. I'd buy it and put the P20 aside for a back up saw. I bought a 226 Ultra but it was way too big for my shop. If it had been a saw like the one you are looking at, I'd probably still have it.
  4. Buy it! Nice size.
  5. My leg hurts already just watching.
  6. That arm is pretty heavy so it would take a hefty spring. But....worth a try.
  7. I've taped a playing card over the center hole of the table. Just slide tbe card through the blade about 1/2 way and tape in place with clear tape.
  8. Is it out of the question to start a small business of importing/selling hobbyist needs? Any possibility of "partnering" with this person? There has to be a way. Never say never.
  9. That's a shame. You would find that the reverse toothed blades will help with the fuzzies. Is the importer ignorant of what scrollers want, need and will buy? Maybe suggest to him that he join SSV so we can tutor him. I can't imagine he doesn't want to make money by getting what you need. Are there limitations to what he is allowed to import?
  10. I take it that you don't have any reverse tooth blades.
  11. Maybe it's time for one or more of you scrollers to step in and either help out or take the business over. Buy him out or just help get him off his high center. If the business is only a sideline/hobby, you maybe can add some sage advice to help him. It would be a win/win for all involved.
  12. I won't mention which political party is the cause of all this stupidity. We all know which one it is. So, when the election rolls around, be sure you vote wisely. Even if he has to rule from a jail cell.
  13. How about Thompson's water seal like we use for decks? I built a gate for my daughter and used it on that and it's been 5 years and looks like new.
  14. Charley, you amaze me with all your talent. That is beautiful!
  15. Here's one near me to use as an example. It appears to be complete, including the center plate. https://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/tls/d/carlsbad-delta-16-variable-speed-scroll/7733822180.html
  16. We are seeing similar things starting to happen here too. Greed is rearing it's ugly head.
  17. That's how I'd do it if I had the space. Very nicely done, Dan.
  18. Just curious, are you able to receive mail from outside the country? There may be folks on here who could send you what you need. I have no experience at doing that but would it be possible?
  19. My 2 cents worth. If you are in need of a machine and this one works as stated, for that price, you almost can't go wrong. But, with that said, be on the look out for a better machine in the future. Have you checked around to see what else is out there? Not knowing where you are located, we can't suggest anything. In my area, there are some great saws at very reasonable prices. Best of luck in whatever you choose to do.
  20. I have no wall space. My stack tool box is full to the max. Remember, I sold tools for 40 years and I was my best customer.
  21. Huh? What'd I say? I can't find my post.
  22. I bought a Hawk 226 Ultra. Actually, I stole it. Less than 20 hrs on it. I really liked it but in my small shop the footprint was just too big. It had to go. Sad!
