    Hmmm, I don't have all the holes in my table as my saws are of the "green" vintage. I wonder how this adapter might work with only the one oval shaped hole. Too much suction? I'd love to give it a try. I'd have to do some drilling/tapping for the mounting screws but that's not a big deal.

    Trying to do inlay with a spiral blade would be a huge lesson in frustration. They leave a kerf that is way too wide for a decent inlay. When I took the marquetry class, we used 2/0 blades on veneer that was less than .060". The wider the blade, the larger the kerf and it also changes the angle of attack.

    She died. My buddy, who was my partner in the mowing business, got into a fight with her husband. Knocked him out. So, that ended that job.

    I wish I could afford some of those inflatable sanding bladders. They are very pricey. And I'd have to cut my own sand paper. It seems that guinevere has a lock on them.

    I'm not into chip carving either. A flavor everybody. Baskin Robbins. I like to take a chunk of wood and cut away all the parts that I don't want. Sometimes I actually get something recognizeable.

    Sometimes, since I have to set up my table saw each time, I opt for a quick cut on my bandsaw or just rough it out on the scroll saw. I guess it depends on what it is. The other day, I wanted a small piece of walnut that I had a 1x 2 of. Rather than get out my table saw, I just took it to the bandsaw. I agree with you on using the miter saw for tiny things. Dangerous.

    Yes, a good thing. We need new blood. When I first came on board, I went clear back to the beginning and read my way forward. I'm sure I resurrected some long dead subject matter. But, it seemed to spark new convos.

    I would never wear gloves around any machinery. I'll take my chances without them. Too easy to get them caught and lose a finger or hand. My father-in-law was a machinist and I'll never forget him telling a story about a young guy he worked with that had long hair and it got caught in a drill press. It tore his hair off clear down to his skull. I don't even wear long sleeved shirts around my equipment.

    That's exactly what I was looking for. Thank you. Now I know which book to search out. Edit: I was wrong. I went to the article but I can't figure out what book it might be in. And I still haven't found a way to contact her. Scroll Saw Workshop is Steve Good's site. Woodworker's Journal wants me to subscribe. So, I'm still at a loss. That article does answer a lot of questions I had but I'd like to buy her book if I can figure out which one.
