  1. Thanks. Yes, I am feeling better. It was a chest cold with a lot of coughing. Hard to cut a straight line when you are hacking a lung up!
  2. Ask them why they think that.
  3. Very nice. With a blade like that I would want to show it off as well.
  4. Great work. If I recall, it is a replacement for the kitchen tools. They now have a beautiful home!
  5. They are fridge magnets. And I looked up clowder as well!
  6. I have been doing small things in the shop. I have had a cold so I didn't want anything too complicated. Just using up scraps of wood.
  7. Congrats on the new saw. After you have had some time with it, could you let us know the difference between the King and the Pegas. I have the King (Excelsior)
  8. Went back through some of the things I have cut in the past. Did these shelf sitters on Friday. I still have to sand and put a finish on them. Three are Poplar and one is Cherry.
  9. Congrats on the score. Happy scrolling.
  10. I didn't check the link first. Thanks for correcting me.
  11. The pattern in linked in the post. Just click on the words "Free Page". That should take you directly to the pattern.
  12. Okay everyone, wood arrived today! @MarieC the white wood on the top is Pau Amarello and is mare yellow looking than white. Here are more pictures. Woods listed from left to right. The red palm is the one on a angle. All nicely labeled on the ends.
  13. A beautiful heirloom piece
  14. I didn't buy Aspen because I can get it in Winnipeg.
  15. I was in the store when I bought the wood. They are all labeled. I am having it shipped because I had flown to Toronto unexpectedly and couldn't carry it home with me. I had one day at home before leaving for a planned vacation. I will list the woods, properly, when I get home and receive the wood. I had them delay shipping so it wouldn't arrive while I was away.
  16. I will have to let you know next week. I am actually on a holiday now and this will be shipped home. Should have it by Thurs. And of course, I bbought some wood here and having it shipped. This lot is Koa and Alaskan Cedar.
  17. Congrats on the new toy. I wish there was another distributor. You described my experience with Bearwoods. And it was only over the clamps and blades.
  18. Most of this style of patterns are cut in Baltic Birch plywood. It has more layers than big box plywood. If bb ply is challenging to find you could look for Finnish plywood. Or a craft board that has mdf in the middle.
  19. I always wear a dust mask and have two fans/extractors going when cutting. I wear the mask when hand sanding and have the overhead fan going. I didn't realize Sumac had lots of oils. It didn't really feel like that. I am a little concerned about the bubinga as I have heard of others, including Steve Good, being allergic.
  20. I have heard if some of them through the Just Intarsia FB page. These are all ones I haven't seen in Winnipeg.
  21. There is no Walnut or Cherry. There is Pau Ferro, Leopardwood, Red Palm, black Palm, Paela, Nogal, Marblewood, Bubinga, Chaktekok, Movingui, Pau Amarello, and Sumac
  22. I have to get it shipped home. It will be a couple weeks because we are also going on a holiday.
  23. Fun shopping today!
  24. Well done.
