  1. Latest piece. Woods include Poplar, Tigerwood, Bloodwood, Paduk and Walnut. Finished with shellac. 9.5" diameter. I had issues cutting the Bloodwood so after a couple of pieces I switched to the Paduk.

  3. You humble me with that praise. Thank you. In taking another look at the project just a quick tip. For the eye, you could add a pinpoint of white to show a reflection of light.

  16. Yes it is. The base is wider but not sure how much.
  17. This was all cut with a MG#5. I didn't find it an issue.
  18. The wax is left over from when my mother-in-law sold her house. That was around 2000! I keep forgetting it is there.

  21. My latest. Pattern by Steve Shears from WoodLogos Studio in Comox BC. Woods used White Ash, Cherry and Walnut. Base is Sapelle. A couple of coats of shellac and a polish with Johnson's Paste Wax. Normally all my pieces are available for sale. Not this one!
