  1. I have, in the past, just wrapped in plain paper.
  2. Here is some of stuff I did in March. The stacking puzzles were previously cut and I just painted them. I had tried to sell at a show last year as "paint your own" - didn't go over very well. I did two of the sunflower puzzles. I also cut & finished two guitar puzzles and a bass guitar. I have a sale coming up at the end of the month so was putting a push on to get product out. Nice to be retired and able to spend most of the day in the shop!
  3. I have a couple of containers full of pennies. Didn't get them to the bank in time to trade in. Not sure if they would still take them!
  4. Always throws me when an old post gets started again. Didn't look at the date it started until I saw Rocky's face.
  5. You are too hard on yourself. Like @MarieC, I like the whole project.
  6. I recall reading on a FB page that someone was doing this.
  7. We most certainly do here!!! Well done!!
  8. I didn't know she had a blog. Thanks for sending me down that rabbit hole
  9. Thanks Marg. Short space of time for intarsia - yes. Not so much for regular scrolling. I came across a piece that I had dated - 2009. It was a puzzle, so I know that it was done a few years after I started scrolling.
  10. https://www.wood-database.com/limba/ You beat me to it. I was just going to do the same thing.
  11. A perfect piece of wood for the sign. Well done!
  12. The hearts a beautiful.
  13. We heard about the forecasted snow. Lots of Winnipeger's travel to ND & Minneapolis during our spring break and our news station commented about the storm warning.
  14. I saw this a few weeks back. Very expensive here in Canada.
  15. We are -14 C right now (8am Sat). It will be weeks before things start to bloom.
  16. Although it is still to early for our trees and bushes to show flowers, I just got this done.
  17. Hubby helped with the choice of backer. I had two pieces to choose from. He also pointed out the swirl of the grain lined up with the upper left leaf.
  18. Great job Paul!
  19. Got this finished today. You can see the progress in "works in progress". Finished with three coats of shellac. I wouldn't normally show the back but I love the grain!!
  20. I agree!
  21. Check out the videos from Bob Brokaw here. https://www.gwinnettwoodworkers.com/
  22. When I was using the metro vac, I had that hooked to the foot switch. I now have a remote control and what a game changer. I am using that because I haul the hose from one machine to the other and the vacuum is in a very awkward spot.
  23. I was using the Metro vac. It seemed to get louder. I cleaned the filters, as you have suggested. I took out the sound meter app and both are very close in DB levels. So I thought I would just use the one vac. I also have a remote control for it now - WOW! love that.
  24. Here is a short video of my dust collection system. 20240315_091635.mp4
  25. After reading this thread, I realized how much my saw "walked" across the floor. Doesn't help that it is a sloped floor. I bought these blocks. Wow!!! They are working great. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B08251YJM4?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
