  1. Welcome, glad you found us! Don't be afraid to ask questions. The only dumb ones are those unasked.
  2. Thanks @Foxfold for the pattern! I reduced it, which meant there was a "design" choice made while cutting. This was done as a quick cut instead of working on my tulips project because I received my Pegas blade chuck in the mail. This is about 7/8 thick walnut. Cut with #5 precision skip. One coat if shellac. There are some other issues but hubby didn't see them and they can't be seen from the front.
  3. She is adorable.
  4. Well done Dick. The colours certainly add to it.
  5. Lots of great info here so I am not going to add to it except.... if you are in Canada, order the Niqua or Pegas blades from Garnet Hall. Small buisness, great service & reasonable shipping. https://www.sawbird.com/tools.htm.
  6. If you have any option to push for the surgery, I would highly recommend. Had one eye done when I was 51 and the second eye 10 years later.
  7. Nice cuts. Hope you get the vision problem resolved.
  8. And when I go to their place, I get to go "Shopping" in his scrap pile.
  9. Looks great. And of course, I had to sing the words!! The cutting appears to be just fine!
  10. I agree with this mindset as well. I have "shamed" people on other forums when they say that. If I know of the designer, I will comment with that information and possibly with the link.
  11. We had friends over for dinner last night. I love the hostess gift that he generally brings. He does "big" works, so I get his scraps. There is Elm, Maple, Paduak, Walnut and Cherry in the bunch!
  12. That would be awesome. Thanks. My scroll saw email is [email protected]
  13. Both look great. I love the pattern. Where did you find it?
  14. Interesting - one of the big complaints is the pull out section. Wouldn't it be interesting if they produced the magazine but with links to the electronic copy listed instead of the pull out section. Just a thought. I have an independent book store a couple of blocks from me. They carry a number of wood magazines including SSWC. I have also had them order in books from FC so I don't have to pay the shipping costs.
  15. Sorry you feel that way Wichman. Sometimes, the way a question is asked can be misinterpreted, which would give you the wrong answers. I know that I have had some interesting answers to some of my questions. And like Ray, when I read back the question, after a while, I go "Duh!!!, what was I asking?" Thanks to everyone for taking time to respond and help.
  16. Great job. It will certainly mean a great deal to her.
  17. There are so many to choose from. I am eyeing up some tulips right now.
  18. My renewal doesn't run out until Sept 2025. Hopefully it is still in production.
  19. Looking good!
  20. That's what they did a number of years ago. Took my DeWalt in, got it back & took it home. Tested it and drove back to the service centre. A week later, the sent me a brand new one! Now I have an extra table top!
  21. What a great, detailed bird house. Now you will have to start the village!
  22. Great cutting. Looks awesome
  23. I quoted just a small part of your comment. Just ignore!
  24. What part sounded difficult? Don't forget, I am in Canada and in Winnipeg (at least) it seems very challenging to find what you folks in the States seem to be able to get at the corner store.
