    In Canada, it is actually illegal to ask for the SIN, Social Insurance Number. That is only to be given/used for income tax purposes. I never give that info out.

    I learned that the best way to open the ring is to twist it so it maintains the round. So when I make earrings, I will use small needle nose pliers one on each side of the joint and twist. Hope this makes sense.

    That is a stunning piece of work. I have used hand made paper for a couple of lamps that I have made. It provides a nice soft glow. Can you provide the link for the pattern. I am very partial to dragonflies and would love to cut that pattern. Barb

    If you melt the mixture into the crevasses etc, how do you buff them out? Or is that needed???

    Different types of ply also changes when you change the blade. I was using a cabinet grade plywood that dulled the blade way faster than BB ply!

    On other sites that I am on, they make a loop of painters tape, stick it to a board, then the small pieces on top. Saves from them blowing away. Others have used the spray glue instead of the tape. Spray a board, then attach the small pieces.

    The compass rose andI Pedal are Steve Good patterns. Search "pedal" for the I pedal pattern. The "charlie brown" trees are from Gayle at Scroller Cafe. The cat and dog were Pintrest pictures and the humback whale is from Fox Chapel "woodimals" book.

    Joe, the "I Pedal" is a Steve Good pattern and that is how it comes. Search for "pedal" on his site.

    I did one a few years ago and only sold it this summer. I was showing pictures to someone at the marina and he requested one, so of course, I had to stack cut to get two. After I was done, I realized the first one I did was from 1/8", these are 1/4".

    I did 6 last year and sold them all. Had to quickly cut another for my sister while she was visiting me just before Christmas.

    Is there a thread or video of Kevin's concoction? I am not sure I have heard of this before.

    I use Tung Oil and either pour it into a foil food container and submerge the piece then wipe excess off and set aside to dry. Or pour some into a small dish and brush it on, wipe and set aside.

    John, Looking at the puzzles again. How do you get the edges painted so neatly? And how do you round them over?
