  1. Haven't read all the comments. This is what I bought. It also came with a base that will tilt for angled holes. I haven't used the angle one. They were available on a 2 for 1 deal and ended up being about the same cost as the Dremel brand plunge router base. https://www.stewmac.com/luthier-tools-and-supplies/types-of-tools/routers-and-bits/routers/stewmac-plunge-router-base/
  2. Nice painting. Door hanger sounds good.
  3. Very cool. I think I will pass on that however, unless the grandson starts showing interest in something like that.
  4. Great wood choices - love the colour combo.
  5. I love looking through everyone's pictures. There are so many great patterns to cut - just not enough time.
  6. Looks great. What are the other dimensions of the wood?
  7. Scott, Are you time traveling as well???
  8. You could use them for compound cuts.
  9. Great job.
  10. That is lovely. Well done!
  11. Beautiful
  12. Thanks Marg. This would be the first time I have been able to cut something right away. The timing just happened to work out.
  13. Thanks Bruce. It isn't actually walnut but the elm that has been stained.
  14. I don't have a planer, so if I don't have the "correct" thickness, then I use whatever is closest!
  15. Lovely
  16. It is actually just a hint over 1"
  17. The outside border was a gel stain I found lying around.
  18. Thank you very much!
  19. As everyone has mentioned - Steve Good is a great resource and I am glad that I found his blog. I have cut a lot of his patterns, so it is hard to choose what to post. Here are few that I have done.
  20. It is great being retired!! And the timing was perfect.
  21. Thanks Charlie
  22. Thanks. That was my thought as well. I was going to try dry brushing but I didn't like the sample.
  23. Don, I did leave it so the puzzle would go right through. You could easily put a backer on it. I wasn't thinking to clearly when I started, otherwise I might have put a backer on it. That being said, this makes it just slightly more challenging because you have to get the "right side up".
