  1. I would like to figure out a way to mount the switch on the side and then use my knee to operate. My old sewing machine had a switch like that as did my mother's mangle. A mangle is a large, roller style iron. Found a video about them, funny now!
  2. Both are lovely boxes.
  3. I haven't had a chance to watch the video but intend to. I feel like I am getting more vibration than usual and I have been putting more hours on it this past year.
  4. I put them on my FB page and have a friend who would like one and commision one for the RedBlacks team.
  5. Very nice.
  6. The name of the green is "Grass Green". Thought that was appropriate!! No, sadly there is not a whole team upcoming.
  7. The "put together" I can handle. I don't do well at the cutting. I don't have a table saw, just a small 4" circular saw & the scroll saw.
  8. Just having fun in the shop. Cut from MDF baseboard.
  9. Dick, I have no idea how they will be used. I am assuming they will be passed out to different "Grand Master's". I assume he is getting the Historian one. He wrote a book on the history https://mastersemblem.wordpress.com/author/masonicgrandhistorian/.
  10. Congrats on the new saw. The stand looks amazing. Care to make me one??!! I am glad that you both enjoy the hobby. I wish, at times, that my hubby would get involved. However, he has his hobbies to keep him busy.
  11. I recently bought some, due to an injury. Haven't worn while cutting though. I saw a photo of JGR wearing rubber thimbles while sanding. Thought I would give those a try because the injury was from sanding. I still need to buy the thimbles. These are what I am talking about. https://www.staples.ca/products/12372-en-westcott-ventilated-finger-tips-small-12-pack
  12. He better - it's my brother.
  13. Thanks to @Dan for the pattern. I have the special order done. Took some "design" choices on the cutting. Some of the spaces were getting a little thin. Ended up having to cut a few extra. The first stack letters weren't so great. Increased the size of the pattern. Test cut the letters only. Had to cut an extra stack because there was a void in the middle layer of the middle stack, so he is getting 14 instead of the 12. Increased the size of the Grand Historian pattern just a titch more and changed the bridges on the "O". Cut with #3 FD Full reverse and finished by dipping into shellac.
  14. Thanks Denny! I would love to visit ArtCrafters.
  15. I do. I am an alto and can do tenor.
  16. Thanks Dick. It is one piece of wood and painted the white with Unicorn Spit.
  17. Can I join the band? I can bring my own instruments!!! From the latest issue. Not sure what the wood is. Cut with #3 FD Full/Ultra reverse.
  18. Great work. My guess for blades is 25!!
  19. That is a great piece. The live edge really sets it off.
  20. Beautiful saying in a beautiful piece of wood!
  21. Did the pattern get posted in the pattern library???
