  1. Looks lovely. I am sure that Dianne will love it.
  2. Welcome back. I retired in April and like William, no regrets. Seeing everyone's (who commented) age, I feel like a baby (62, just)
  3. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year as well.
  4. Had my last sale of the year, I hope, today. It was a blustery day - -15C with windchill felt like -25. Turns out the furnace in the community club wasn't working properly - bloody cold! Only 100 or so came through the sale. Ultimately it really wasn't a bad day in terms of sales. Sale went from 10 - 4 and I did just over $400, which is only about $150 less than the first day of my 2 day event in November. Would I do it again - not sure. I only had an 8' table and wasn't able to set any additional tables up. That meant, all my wall plaques couldn't be displayed. I also think I am giving up on ornaments - only sold 1 this show and 10 last show. Anyhow - here is a picture of the setup.
  5. Me Three!
  6. Wishes for a speedy recovery. As others have said, follow dr's orders and do the physio.
  7. I have been sanding the wood to 220 before applying the pattern. Makes final finishing easier. Be patient. It is not a race. Don't be overly critical - only you see the "flaws". No one else does.
  8. None in Winnipeg as far as I know.
  9. Beautiful!
  10. Nice idea. Generous gift!!
  11. Another wonderful project. I love your detailed description of your process. Something that your granddaughter will cherish for decades.
  12. Great job. I love that you actually used buttons. How did you do the eyes?
  13. I send my nieces & nephews an ornament every year. Got them in the mail yesterday.
  14. The Nativity sets, not made into ornaments, are from Steve Good. I kept seeing them in other FB groups, so had to cut.
  15. I have to do something during the day!!!
  16. Lovely. I like the idea of a new one each year, except I would run out of room!
  17. Looks good. Instead of stain, I would have used an acrylic paint.
  18. Here is a short video of things I have been working on over the last few weeks. They are for my last show of the season on December 17th. I spent a week, or so, cutting everything. As week, or so, sanding. And then another week, or so, finishing. Still have to get the shrink wrap on the puzzles. 20221204_141103.mp4
  19. Glad to help whenever I can. Those look great.

  22. What a beautiful gift. They will be loved for a very long time.
  23. They aren't really "Kids" anymore. The youngest nephew is 25!
