  1. I think that one is my favorite of all you have shown!
  2. I posted a request a few weeks back for a pattern and Bob jumped in an helped me with it. Made of oak with a piece of oak stained walnut for a backer. It is 3/4"x 8"x24" and is going to be hung outside on porch. Used poly that is used on boats for a finish which should hold up being on the oak. My saw is 21" so I cut the board into, cut the pattern, than glued back together. Thanks again Bob!!
  3. I always sand the blank before I cut the pattern. Then use sanding mop to clean up the fuzzies. Never had a need to sand inside the frets.
  4. Several years ago my wife said something about a wombat. I hadn’t heard of them before. So it was off to google to prove to me there is such an animal. So I had to show her your post LOL. By the way I have sold 8 ref mag at the consignment store. $2 each

  7. You should put the date on your first pieces and compare your work in a year. You will be surprised at how much you will improve.
  8. I know what you mean by a bunch of small cuts. I did one that I didn’t think needed all those holes, but it did. Who maded the boat pattern? Don’t think I have seen it before.
  9. I set with my foot on the support & other foot on stool with the foot switch.
  10. I have had patterns like that also. When pattern comes off an you step back you can see a totally different picture.
  11. Two questions for you Randy. How much time do you have in making the cutting? And when are you going to be in the magazine?

  14. Made this to set on my sound board at church. Used walnut, Purple Heart and oak.
  15. I have a small woods that my brother has taken 22 dead ash trees out of. There are another 20 dead ones to be cut. A couple of them are three feet across. Just makes me sick to see all the dead ash trees. Just because of a bug. I am in east central Indiana.

  19. Thanks for all the good comments. It is 12” long. The snow flake is the paper from the pattern.
  20. I was at the artistry in wood show this Sunday. Steve Good was there as a guest of Seyco. I showed him your cutting. He was very pleased with how you did. He is a very nice man to talk to very down to earth an humble.

  22. Did you make your money back that the day costed you? Would really suck if you didn’t.
  23. Did it using popular that had a lot of green in it. When I removed the pattern the paper stayed on the snow flake. I liked the white so just left it on an covered it with finish.
  24. I got the sander at auction and the belt was worn smooth on one side
