  2. The way I feel some days! LOL
  3. Thanks Travis! I have clicked on the 3 bars before but didn't see that you scroll the page down. Now I am happy and you have a satisfied user LOL
  4. I don't see a forums tab at the top of the page. It is the welcome page telling what the site is about and at the very top right is three links but none take me to the forums. First one takes me to the current posts, second one does the same and third opens a window for sign out mark site read & account.
  5. Yes I do know that plus a lot of other things that have gone in the dark hole of my brain LOL. I will have to track him down, thanks
  6. After the update I can't find how to go to the "bragging" forum or the "general" forum. It just shows the newest post. How do I get to the title forums? I use a I phone 5s. thanks
  7. Can't get to Dale's site using the link at top of page. Comes up error and computer jiberlish. Does any body have a address that works?
  8. I found some albums at a goodwill for a dollar a piece. I checked out on google if the ones I bought had any value. One was worth $15. Not cutting it LOL
  9. Like the others have said good review Randy. I got my new mag in the mail today and they have a "review" of the Jet and EX saws. You talk about walking the fence and saying nothing! They should have had Randy write the review but than they would have two advertisers mad. JMO
  10. Thanks for the kind words!! The hinges were very easy to do. Just a compound cut. Always fun to do things you haven't done before. Cut a rabbit to hold bottom on. Another first.
  11. I did everything you said to do but putting spray on the wood & paper. I just sprayed on the wood. That is were I must have gone wrong.
  12. I used 3m 77 to hold colored paper as a backer but it came unstuck. You have any trouble holding the felt?
  13. Heard a woman say she makes quilts. So I showed her a picture of " Love To Quilt" by Sue Mey. She said I want one only 14" across. Also ordered a box for her son who is in the Marines to keep papers and stuff in. The box is 10x12x3 made out of walnut with maple inlay. I also made the hinges out of wood. The Quilt one is made out of oak with snapple backer. Not up to Jim Finn's standard but I think it turned out ok. So it pays sometimes to show people pictures and ask. PS forgot, the inlay pattern is from Steve Good.
  14. Donate old magazines to places like goodwill or schools.
  15. Well the study has been done. No you can't put lacquer over poly!
  16. Get a piece of scrap and draw lines on it. That away you can see how they work.
  17. Good idea I have some scrap walnut leftover from the project. I will go both ways & see if either one reacts to the other. I will Let everyone know what I find out in about 4 days.
  18. The customer wanted satin so that is what I used. But I like the shine lacquer has better than the poly. Maybe just my eyes lol. I will take advice given and leave well enough alone.
  19. After polyurethane dries can you put lacquer over the top of it? I don't care for the way the poly looks. Thanks
  20. I don't charge sales taxes therefore I don't owe any back. Government gets enough out of my paycheck without my few dollars people donate to me. I have a hobby not a busines and only make things not for profit. If everyone paid on cash sales and under the table deals the government would have a lot more money to waste.
  21. That is great looking!! I am going to break down and try intarsia. Just don't like sanding but really like the finished product.
  22. Taxes? Who pays taxes on cash money?
  23. Know what you mean. That is what is nice about the FD UR having the climp at the top of the blade. With the pegas blade I slide my thumb down the blade and which ever way has the least drag is down.
  24. Make sure the left set screw that the blade gets pushed into is out (towards center of clamp)about 1/16". This will keep blades from getting a bend like the blade of a hockey stick and breaking there. I have been scrolling for 7 years and have broken only one blade & it was because of this problem. After you get the set screw were you want it put a drop of BLUE locktight on threads. Will keep from working out.
