  2. It looks real rough Russell! I hope you have a hand held metal detector. If you have a drum sander, I would use that to clean up the boards first before running through the planner. You should be able to recover a lot of good wood there, good luck!

  8. Clever thinking a Paul! I just use some wire screen tapped over the nozzle.
  9. Yes, you are correct. Most scroll saw blades are configured more like a cross cut blade than a ripping blade. It’s not just poplar, you will notice it on most hardwoods. It really should have no effect on your cutting other than the blade working a little harder cutting with the grain.
