Thank you all for your kind words. Sharing my work with fellow enthusiasts is a large part of my love for this hobby. In other words, your comments really make it worth doing these projects.
Excellent work and very appropriate. Please tell your granddaughter and her husband that we are VERY thankful for their commitment and their important service to protect our freedom.
Beautiful scrolling. I can see why your friend wanted one. Your grandson will treasure it for all of his life, especially as he matures and realizes the effort you put into this project for him. Merry Christmas, Josh.
These are photos of the finished projects which I previously posted. These are Christmas presents for relatives.
Merry Christmas to all of my Scrolling Friends!
I cut these portraits of my nephews as a Christmas present for their mother. In my (large) family, we draw Secret Santa names, and then we have the option of making a present of buying one. The best ones are always the homemade presents. And it's always a thrill to watch each person take their turn opening their present, then presenting their gift to their recipient.
I just added the original photographs used to create the patterns.
joe, you are gonna love this group. Very supportive and helpful. You are also going to like scrolling. If you need any help with patterns, materials, blades, techniques, etc,you are certainly in the right place. Welcome to Woodworking Wonderland!
Thanks to all of you who commented on the Old West Stage. I got a few requests for the pattern, so I am posting it here. I got the original from Cowgirl Clipart, so they deserve the credit for this one. I just cleaned it up for the scroll saw. I make some adjustments to the cutting along the way, so you may find places where you will have to do the same. Happy cutting!
