  11. Here is a short video of a sample of compound cut of mini bird houses, different kind of wood used and glued together for the proper thickness. Larry you will see what is left after the cut is made. Make sure that after you cut the first side you tape it together again prior of cutting the other side. HPIM1450.AVI
  12. Safe travel and have a great Thanksgiving Day
  13. I used every kind of wood for my mini bird houses, mostly pieces of scrap left over from other projects. I glue them together to get the proper thickness and uses a bench sander to make sure they are square and you are all set. I cut some with lot's of mix hard wood (takes longer to cut) but looks real nice when you apply the finish on them. I like natural color of the wood, will post some pics later
  14. I will try to find the pattern for you, I just did a test with 2 pieces of wood same thickness and adjust the angle of the saw accordingly. If you cut clockwise the top piece go inside the bottom, if you cut counterclockwise the bottom piece go in the top piece. Hope it makes sense to you

Hey Pete, that starts running into copyright infringement and Harvey can't really risk going in that direction.

Thank you, I saw lots of Batman images on Google so I thought that they are not protected.

I understand and don't want to push it further.

      Thanks for the prompt reply

  23. I used bees wax on all my bowls that I made, mine came in a container just like paste wax. I used a paper towel and apply a very good amount on the bowl rubbing the wax in, let it dry overnite and reapply 2 more coat and buff in between. All my bowls sold with the condition that they are safe for food
  24. I use a brandin iron that my daughter bought for me when I started to do scroll work, now over 20 years old and still like new.
