  1. Safe travel and have a great Thanksgiving Day
  2. I used every kind of wood for my mini bird houses, mostly pieces of scrap left over from other projects. I glue them together to get the proper thickness and uses a bench sander to make sure they are square and you are all set. I cut some with lot's of mix hard wood (takes longer to cut) but looks real nice when you apply the finish on them. I like natural color of the wood, will post some pics later
  3. I will try to find the pattern for you, I just did a test with 2 pieces of wood same thickness and adjust the angle of the saw accordingly. If you cut clockwise the top piece go inside the bottom, if you cut counterclockwise the bottom piece go in the top piece. Hope it makes sense to you
  4. You got PM
  5. Lot's of commissioned orders for the holidays, so far has been pretty busy . Sold 27 mini birdhouses 5 various trivets that I posted pics before and some of these attached
  6. You were a busy man, they are real nice, lot's of people will be please to receive them. Great job
  7. You are a master of the inlay art, very nice and your choice of wood is always the best
  8. The smell must drive you crazy Scott, your set up looks great
  9. Thanks Scott I grasp my copy
  10. My bowls are cut on the scroll saw and I used a buffer on my drill press to do the job

Hey Pete, that starts running into copyright infringement and Harvey can't really risk going in that direction.

Thank you, I saw lots of Batman images on Google so I thought that they are not protected.

I understand and don't want to push it further.

      Thanks for the prompt reply

  12. I used bees wax on all my bowls that I made, mine came in a container just like paste wax. I used a paper towel and apply a very good amount on the bowl rubbing the wax in, let it dry overnite and reapply 2 more coat and buff in between. All my bowls sold with the condition that they are safe for food
  13. I use a brandin iron that my daughter bought for me when I started to do scroll work, now over 20 years old and still like new.
  14. This is very good price for his pattern, I really enjoy cutting them and Scott you provide great service.
  15. Very nice I like your choice of wood, cedar has so many nice colours
  16. Very nice for second project
  17. I think you might have the blade upside down make sure that the teeth of the blade face down not up. You have to hold your piece of wood with a slight pressure on the table, also maybe your piece of wood is warped. Hope this help
  18. Spend a few hours in the shop lately. Puzzle patterns from Scott K-9 from Steve Good - same pattern different wood
  19. Welcome to the village great place to learn from a very nice bunch of craftsman. Don't be shy and ask all the questions, lot' s of good info from the "Village People"
  20. Same item I just took a picture of both sides
  21. Yes it is on her web site scrollsawartist.com
  22. Last email that I received from Sue Mey had patterns of serviettes holder that I made and shown here (leaves and Angels). My wife said that none match our decor in the kitchen (all about wine) so I send and email to Sue and a few days later she send me a new pattern. I used poplar for the back and did a reverse inlay of purple heart to display as wine in the bottle and also used purple heart for the base. The wife is really happy so this is the main thing, I guess Sue Mey and I did good.
  23. Spent sometimes in the shop and manage to get a couple of serviettes holder and a couple of animals puzzles. The Bernese dog was a little more fun than the deer. Enjoy
  24. Thanks for the offer I wrote your phone numbers on my IPad, should find out today if we have the place in Sun City. Looking forward to it
