  1. Dick, there is a possibility that we will be in AZ (Sun City West) for 3 months this winter. Maybe will get together for coffee or beer bringing my scrollsaw with me. I know where Casa Grande is, it is a beautiful spot.
  2. Never used it but I always taped my projects with the packing tape, I rank test with cherry wood - brand new blade no tape = burn marks with tape no burned marks at all.
  3. I got all my wood from Ochooch Hardwood their products are the best for me anyway. Have used them for over 5 years now never received a piece of wood that was below grade.
  4. Thanks for the nice responses but my wife told me that I have been doing these Christmas ornaments for the past 10 years at least. Time fly when you have fun.
  5. All the patterns are from Steve Good, I used a variety of wood out of my scrap container. I have made these Christmas ornaments for at least the last 5 years, Steve has new pattern every year.
  6. Real nice job looks like they are in their element in Africa.
  7. Spend some time in the shop lately. The Harley was fun to cut specially the front wheel (NOT) I used Oak Butterfly is western red cedar

  12. You have been busy Denny, they look good, I like the one made out of Western cedar, the grain of the wood is real nice.

  16. I would recommend Excalibur or equivalent,very reliable and blades easy to change.
  17. That was a very small part from us compare of the work you do on this site, glad to be able to help in a small way
  18. That is real nice is the pattern available, would be a great Christmas gifts
  19. The main piece is pine with the bark still on, I then cut the letterring on a piece of Black Cherry and after all inside cut were done, I taped the cherry on top of the pine with double faced tape and cut the outside at an angle of 3 degrees. Finish applied is three coats of Tung Oil
  20. Vey best friend of my wife just purchased a new house, so I thought that I will cut something for them.
  21. Did a couple of Farm animals and the triangle bowl in the last issue of Scrollsaw Woodworking Magazine. I used Western red cedar for the horse, oak for the cow and Cherry for the bowl
  22. Made this for my mother-in-law 80th birthday. Pattern from Steve Good (modified) wood used walnut and yellow heart, finished with 3 coats of Tung oil
  23. Very well done I made at least 20 of these for my golf club and friends.
  24. Real nice great workmanship you must be proud of the way it came out
  25. I went from Craftsman to Ryobi to Dremel and then to the Excalibur, I found this saw is a Cadillac compare to all the other saws I had. Bought it new set it up and after 5 years still did not replace any parts yet.
