  1. Thank you everyone.
  2. Hello everyone, I'm thinking of trying to cut out the Mini Reindeer & Sleigh. This looks like it is a compound cut. Any suggestions on how to do this? I've ever attempted compounds cuts yet. Thanks Jim
  3. Thank you everyone. I'm going to make a couple more of these. Might try one in pine and then wood burn it a little bit and see how that comes out looking. Thanks Jim
  4. So for what it's worth. I wasn't able to get any magnets to attach to my scroll saw.
  5. Hello everyone, here is one of the first Halloween themed pieces that I just finished cutting. It is a Steve Good pattern made out of 3/4" poplar. Trying to get geared up for a craft show that is the weekend prior to Halloween. Thanks Jim
  6. Hello Bill, I believe they are made out of cast iron. That is what their website says.
  7. Here is a picture of what I'm talking about. This piece only has a small amount while others will have much more black marks on them. Sorry for the large file but I don't have any editing software here at work. And I'll post a picture of the table when I get home tonight. Thanks Jim
  8. I could swear I've seen threads of what to use to clean the Hegner Multimax 18 table but I can't seem to find them now. Can anyone help a old guy out? There are black marks on the table and the black marks are showing up on the back side of the pieces I'm cutting. Hegner has a cleaner on their website (I think), but was wondering if anyone used something else? Thanks Jim
  9. Can you make a platform for the foot switch to set on? Jim
  10. Thanks goodness you got that Chinese made Harley put back together so you can get back to work! Glad it worked out for you.

Wow, that is gorgeous Ike. Jim
  13. The one I had only blew the dust off the piece I was cutting on. That's why I made up my dust collector that goes to my (LOUD) shop vac and got rid of the blower that came with it. Jim
  14. Um, I use my thumb nail to remove patterns.
  15. I personally think you should buy another scroll saw. You can never have too many scroll saws.
  16. Thanks Kevin, I like that idea. I'm guessing you glue them to the back of the piece?
  17. Thank you everyone. Les, the Lowes here in Colorado Springs stock the 3/4" thick poplar all the time. Jim
  18. So this is my first time cutting this pattern. The whiskers are so easy to break. I'm thinking on my next go around I will make them just a little bit wider. I still need to sand and paint or stain this one. This is cut out of 3/4" Poplar and is a Steve Good pattern. Thanks for looking. Jim
  19. Nice find Les.
  20. I like going to the one close to me to get ideas for projects to make. Jim
  21. So I've been knocking around the idea of cutting a door topper. But how to you get it to stay up on the top of the door frame? Is it attached to the wall somehow, maybe velco? Thanks in advance. Jim
  22. These are made from 3/4" popular.
  23. Here you go. This is the video I got my design from Rockytime. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFM_jylYziY&t=17s Jim
  24. I did a dust collection on my Hegner 18" using PVC piping any my shop vac.
