  1. Haven't I seen on here where folks have enlarged the table on their Hawk Scroll Saw? I was cutting my 21" x 25" reindeer bodies out and the kind of get tipsy on me and I thought "man it would be nice if the table was just a tad bit bigger". So am I mistaking or has someone put something on the table to make it larger that what comes with the Hawk 226 saw? Thanks Jim
  2. Merry Christmas Travis, the snow flakes are a nice touch.
  3. Merry Christmas everyone on SSV.
  4. Mine is a Shapeoko XL and it looks like it was actually around $1500.00.
  5. Yeah Kevin, I don't know if the CNC will do what I'm hoping it will do. I know I have the pattern the way I won't it in (whatever software I have for the CNC). But there is only one way to find out, and if it doesn't work out then I will use it to make folks signs like I have been asked many times to do. Either way I'm going to find something for that CNC to do so it doesn't become a $1200.00 boat anchor in my garage.
  6. What an awesome job Paul. I will have to try and do these for next Christmas.
  7. Ray, I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas.
  8. No problem at all John. I will try to keep everyone posted on how this goes.
  9. Hi John, I'm hoping to use it to make my motorcycles and my race tracks for this coming race season. And then see where it goes from there. I'm still planning on doing my aminal jigsaw puzzles and other puzzles and portraits on my scroll saws while the CNC machine is cutting out the motorcycles and race tracks. Already have the second shop vac for the CNC, just need to pick up the second dust deputy then I should be ready to go forward from there...or at least that is what I'm hoping to do.
  10. I had a pretty good year. I'm estimating I sold around $1200.00 worth of product including my wooden motorcycles at the race tracks and that was with a full time job. With my job going away in Jan. and having the CNC machine up and running the second weekend of Jan. I'm hoping to have a better year next year. Jim
  11. Yeah and I'm thinking those two happened before I even thought about woodworking and scroll saws.
  12. Has anyone ever heard of a recall on any scroll saws in the past? You hear about recalls on everything, but I've never heard about a recall on scroll saws. Thank Jim
  13. What's the average size of these?
  14. Congrats Charlie. I can't wait to see what you think of it.
  15. I like finding Poplar boards with that type of coloring.
  16. But it's looking way to clean. Gotta get some sawdust on that machine.
  17. Very nice, I really like this one.
  18. Just a question, but if you are using a shop vac to suck up the dust created by the scroll saw. Do you need the bellows? I'm thinking no because that is just blowing the air out of the way. Am I correct?
  19. I love my Hegner 18V from 1983. The only blade breakage I have had is operator error. I'm still looking forward to working on the Hawk more so I can get comfortable with it.
  20. Glad things went well for you Frank. Please don't over do it though.
  21. I wish it was closer to Colorado. The only one I'm finding in Colorado is a 22" Hegner for $700.00. It's a little out of my price range.
  22. Nice job, I just received that book. I can't wait to start making some of the projects in it.
  23. Nice job Kevin, very classy.
  24. Freezing drizzle outside......68 degrees inside the workshop, have I ever said how much I LOVE my insulated garage door.
